3 hours seems about right for the first round. The break between rounds 2 and 3 builds anticipation and allows fans to "bone up" on who is still out there. Watching nfl.com and hanging on the chat channel was a blast.

The phrase I won't forget? "My mom taught Dez Bryant', by trickblue!

:) :D :) :D :)

We got the Draft 44 hours earlier than we would have. My only complaint was that ESPN used Prime Time (not Deion) to go commercial crazy. NFL Network was better coverage.

It did not suck despite all the doom and gloom predictions. I think it was the bomb.

I was glad it went quickly, but that has nothing to do with the new format, as far as how fast the first round went other than the shorter time between picks.

The truth is the format is exactly the same, they just don't do the other rounds. There was no added production value, no deeper analysis of the picks or better videos/info on the prospects. Everything was exactly the same.

EDIT: I thought you were talking about the rounds being broken up over 3 days, oops.

Prior to the draft I wasn't a fan of the format at all.

I am now. The way the draft is laid out now makes it where there is never a dull moment, because it's only about 3 hours. Good decision by Goodell.
