Does the car come equipped with gluten free almond milk and other additions any hipster would love?

The Prius has always been ugly. I understand there has to be some compromises here and there with the design when it comes to building a hybrid, but my goodness. Even the compromises that have to be made haven't stopped a company like Tesla from making amazing looking cars. Though, having said that, they're definitely a different stratosphere when it comes to price.

I get that we want the most bang for our dollar, but when does the ROI kick in on these? A hybrid is usually 5-6k more than the standard model. How many years/miles would you have to drive to start seeing those savings? By that point, I think the batteries have to be replaced, do they not?

Just don't see the worth at this point. Kudos to those of you who have one, however these questions always come to mind when I see one on the road.

EDIT: I also get that it may be an environmental choice. If that's the case, you have that in mind when you make the larger purchase.

I've heard that the environmental impact from manufacturing and disposing of those batteries is pretty significant.

It just makes people feel good I guess. They still get electricity that is predominantly produced from coal and fuel.
