Trade up and get Peterson. If the Cowboys can't do that, trade down for extra picks and shore up the offensive line while getting R. Moore.

I wouldn't say I'd feel great about it, but I'd give him a fair shot. (I guess I'd give whomever we choose a fair shot, really) He is physically gifted as all get out and could end up being the best player to come out of this draft. I have no idea about his off-field manner.

Lol, I'm not a fan of him either.

The guy is strictly a 43 DE as he plays very tall and has some of the stiffest hips of any of the linemen.

Not saying that he is without any ability. He's the kind of guy the Giants would love to pick up and throw into their rotation DL.

people will say no and say even worse things because Smith isn't a sexy OLB pick and not as great as a pass rusher as Miller or Quinn is.
But I have said all along Aldon Smith is the best SOLB in this draft. The guy can get to the QB, has great size, and can stuff the run and gets of blocks, which is something the SOLB has to be able to do and Miller and Quinn can not do. Smith has also shown he can get back in coverage. At #9 no thanks just because I think we can get him by trading back. Also I would draft Smith because I don't think he fixes any now needs. We have Spencer who is just fine at SOLB and I think will be great in Ryan's 3-4.

Im good with Aldon Smith and Spencer will be a FA next year, you think we are going to resign Spencer for big bucks? A Smith is downright explosive, would be great in a tradedown if he's available.

Mind games by Jerry Jones, I think. Houston really likes him, supposedly. Jerry Jones is probably looking to steal a pick and still get Tyron Smith. The guy was an oil man. Dallas will not draft Aldon Smith. Perhaps, someone in front of Dallas likes A. Smith, and Dallas is worried about them moving down and getting jumped for Tyron Smith.

That is plausible, you have to admit it...

As much as I dont want him, he's a better pick at 9 than Aldon Smith

Aldon Smith is on the Patriots list, but he isn't on the Chargers list of player in for visits. I've heard where he's a 43 DE only too, but the Patriots value power. I could see them taking a good look at him. He's not on the Titans list, but he would be the type of bigger DE that they want to switch too. Plus, A. Smith has the frame to get to 270 with ease. I could see Heckert, from Cleveland, liking this guy on his weakside. 11-20 seems to be where he is projected to go. The Vikings are probably interested. Ray Edwards is 6-5, 268. The Lions brought him in for a visit, too. The Chiefs have shown major interest in him, so the Patriots probably do like him.

Appears to be a good player and could help. But this seems to be more of a luxury pick given we already have Ware and Spencer. I have a hard time believing he'd be the BPA at #9 but who knows.

Aldon Smith is the guy I mocked at 9. I really like him. I think he's going to be a good one.
