Im a long time Cowboy fan. Been watching them since I was a baby. I currently live in Atl and there is abunch of hype going into the ATl vs DAL game almost to the point that the fans are tottally overlooking the Bears. Anyway I'm sitting on my couch the other night watching the NFL network and looking forward to seeing Primetime Deion Sanders do his segment on the top performers and when It cam to the ATL vs SF highlights he refered to the trio of Turner, Ryan and White as the new triplets, Triplets 2.0 as he called it. Now it may mean nothing to allot of you but I took that as a huge slap in the face as a Cowboy fan. I mean No trio of guys on a single team produced more numbers the Troy, Emmitt and the Playmaker no one. And to call a second year quarterback a running back with 1 good year under him and a reciever who you can argue is just a "good" reciever and not a great one the ne Triplets I mean come on yeah the Falcons went 11-5 last season but they had one of the softest schedules i have ever seen I just hope that this isn't the nickname that these three Falcants run with

I think there could be a few variations on "NEW" triplets.

I guess a runningback averaging like 3.5 ypc is the equivalent of Emmitt :lmao: Plus Deion is a moron.

it's all hype and promotion--Sanders could not possibly say they are equal triplets, not even at equal points in their careers

It doesn't bother me one bit. We have seen and heard this many times before. It seems every team at one time seems to think they have the new triplets. None of them seem to have panned out. Some have been decent but none have even come close to the original. I take it as a compliment that people want to be compared to and associated with those 90's Cowboys teams.

Don't worry about a thing. You won't see hide nor hair of anything resembling our triplets when the Falcons come to town. Our defense will see to that!

Ummm....well except in the last two minutes. You "might" see a resemblance.

This isn't new. Every so often, a new team is said to possess the "new triplets."

In all likelihood, some team eventually will field a group of players comparable to the triplets.

Exactly, Manning, James and Harrison were called the triplets at one point.... It's just a name that was giving to that particular trio.... Montana, Craig and Rice could have easily been dub the triplets. Elway, Sharpe and Davis. you can go back in history to find triplets and sometimes even find quads.....

Once a name is given, stop trying to give it to someone else. Triplets, America's Team.... Next thing you know someone will be calling a defense Doomsday and not Dallas D....

Whoe are they? Everyone knew who Emmitt, Troy, and Michael were but who are these guys? Was Prime Time referring to Ted, Sean, and Barry?

You say that like it's inevitable.

Is there another team that has EVER had a HOF QB, RB, and WR playing almost their entire careers together on the same squad? The 70s Steelers could be called close, but they weren't the caliber that the 90s triplets were.

Should Drew Pearson ever get in we will have done it twice.

At the beginning of the year, they were trying to liken Schaub, Andre, and Slaton to Aikman, Irvin, and Emmitt.

I lul'ed.

Why would you smile like that after being arrested? I'd be embarassed if it was me. Dumb as a bag of rocks.

Nothing new here.

The media is always trying to find the "next" big thing.

They did the same thing with the Colts when they had Manning, Harrison and James.

The media tried the same gimmick with Peyton Manning, Marshal Faulk/Edgerrin James, and Marvin Harrison...its just to hype Atlanta as much as possible to drive up TV ratings.
