The New Yankee Stadium--a betrayal to baseball history (My new outlook on baseball)

They might have a 5 $ section in order to fill up the stadium & give the appearance of a packed house. Those sections usually are the loudest & can be used for verbal abuse when the Red Sox are in town. They could fill them w/ beer & put them near the visitors bullpen. This could be a real strategic move.

out with the bandwagon yankee fan.. i been a yankee fan for 26 years of my life. and i would never say im not gonna be a yanks fan cause they wont be in that stadium nomore, i dont care were they play in alaska, china, japan etc.. it does not matter once a yankee always a yankee just like a cowboys fan period.!@

Fenway Park Sucks. Nostalgic yes, great park to watch a game ? Certainly not.

I do have a question though, are you a Yanks season ticket holder ?

If you want to "blame" someone for the Yankees building a new stadium, place that blame where it belongs, on the Royals, Pirates even Rangers of the world. This move is a direct counter to revenue sharing and the luxury tax that was crammed down the Yankees throats. The Yankees will be able to "write off" most of their portion of construction costs, lowering the ridiculous amounts of cash revenue sharing costs them.

The Yankees have maximized their revenue potential like no other team in sports, gambling on things like the YES network, while other ownership groups twiddled their thumbs and cashed the Yankees' check to make their profit. This stadium is going to dry that money up for awhile. Maybe they'll get off their arses and make an effort now.
