So many conflicting emotions right now. On the one hand, we're 2-0, while Philly and NYG are both 0-2. On the other hand, we're down Romo and Dez for big stretches of time.

I'm obviously no doctor and I'm not privy to the Cowboys' medical information, but if things go like they're supposed to, Romo and Dez will likely both be out 6-8 weeks (give or take, depending on recovery times). That means we're going to be without those two for most of these games:

Week 3: vs. ATL
Week 4: @ NO
Week 5: vs. NE
Week 7: @ NYG
Week 8: vs SEA
Week 9: vs. PHI
Week 10: @TB

We just need to stay afloat. Weeden actually looked somewhat serviceable today, and our defense has looked stout so far this season. If we can scrap our way to .500 over that stretch, we'll be looking at something like 6-3 or 5-4 heading into the back stretch of the season, and (hopefully) will have a near-full strength team for the first time all year with RoMac, Gregory, and Hardy back as well.

Obviously losing Romo for a long stretch is not ideal, and he could end up being out longer than expected which would make all this moot. But the season is not over. We can do this.

Dang that's a challenging stretch even with Romo and Dez. I see 2 wins for sure and as many as 4, but....who the heck knows. Depends on Weeden....YEESH

Weeden is serviceable until you start hitting him, then he folds like a cheap suit...

The NFCE is going to be bad. Washington has a shot.

If we can win 3 out of the next 7 games....that puts us at 5-4 going down the stretch , get Romo back, Get Dez back, Hardy, Ro, Gregory.....

It aint over................ win the East, get rolling right about playoff time....

It aint over!!!

That's a pretty legit post.....If we can beat New Orleans, Philly and Tampa then we are 5-4 and can probably win 5-6 times down the stretch when we are at full strength.

The state of the nfc east makes it possible that the Cowboys could very well still be in it when Romo and Dez returns (if of course Dez and Romo are able to only miss minimal time).

I think this isn't as bad as it looks. Weeden is better than posters here give him credit for and even if you assume Romo misses 10 games, the worst case is something like 7 - 5 when he gets back, with plenty of time for him to get back on track for the playoffs.

The big key is that this is going to put even more pressure on the running game, and DMC and Michael need to step up.

If we can win half of those games, with Dez and Romo getting back, I think we can make something special happen.

To be positive the d shutdown a high octane philly offence, however, they haven't looked that way in six of the quarters, to me it looks like the d can keep us in many games. And Weeden played mistake free football and hit Williams for the TD that clinched it. What's needs to be fixed were all those penalties ... 18, and many our offensive line which is supposed to be our strength.

I am afraid of what Weedon looks like once teams game plan for him.
He has looked terrible in the past for the Cowboys.
Wished we had signed the back up QB cut by the Rams at the beginning of the season.

I don't think you need to be, stay asleep. You wanted McFadden to tweak a hamstring to see Michael, and look what happened. You wished injury upon one of our own, and that player was Romo.
Want some sleeping pills to sleep rest of the season?

No, I wished McFadden tweaked his hamstring, not a broken collar bone to Romo. Don't give me your bipolar garbage now. Go away!

I'm sure people will think i'm crazy but with Romo out 7-9 weeks or more we need to do something. I'd see if we can get Sanchez from the eagles. He's way better than weeden.
