LOS ANGELES -- ABC says the new season of "Dancing with the Stars" will feature Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor and Olympic all-around champion gymnast Shawn Johnson.

The network announced the field of 13 celebrity competitors Sunday.

"Dancing with the Stars" returns for its eighth season March 9 with a two-hour episode.

ABC says pop star Jewel will compete for "bragging rights" in the dance contest against Ty Murray, her champion bull-rider spouse.

The rest of the field: computer guru Steve Wozniak; singers Belinda Carlisle, Chuck Wicks and Lil' Kim; actors Denise Richards, David Alan Grier and Gilles Marini; Steve-O of MTV's "Wildboyz" and TV host Nancy O'Dell.

Is it just me, Hos, or does this dumb TV show attract the worst from our league.

Yeah, it had Emmitt, a respectable guy.

But Warren Sapp and now LT? Those two are thugs. And that Steve-O is no stinking violet.

Oh, well, I don't see these type of shows. But others who have lace on their undershirts probably do. And I know you don't watch this show, Hos.

I have never seen even a minute of a live episode of the show and the only footage I have ever seen is when watching sportscenter and they showed some footage. Nor was I interested. I have no interest in the show whatsoever. But LT dancing is kind of funny.

I love LT as a football player, but I can't stand listening to him talk. Actually, I can't stand him doing anything other than playing football.

I will be avoiding the show. ...well, I always avoid the show.

I can't see Steve-O making it thru more than 2 episodes without doing something to get him kicked off the show.
