I despise Gooddell. There I said it. Can’t stand the guy. This decision is the dumbest most asinine decision of all. How the hell are the Atlanta Falcons and JU responsible for this? Why do people care about Sanders being goofed on? Beyond stupid and makes me hate that league office more.

Thanks for listening.

goofsmell figures this will look good to the dumb and stupid

agree the Falcons should not be penalized because the SON of one of their employees was a little ****

One of the foundations of this country is that the sons should not be blamed for their fathers doings; and it should be vice versa.

Now this POS of a garbage CEO of the NFL does this. But no surprise.

I applaud it. People are so shocked these days when they’re held accountable.
It was a fumny gag. You have to admit. Besides that guy needed a reality check. I am all for accountability believe me on that but that fine is outrageous.

I have a work laptop. If I leave it unattended and someone gains access because it wasn't locked as should be, am I responsible what someone does with it? Absolutely. Say someone gains access and sends my clients a bunch of x-rated or obscene emails. Can I just say I'm not responsible because it wasn't me? Nope. Because I left it unlocked and anyone could gain access, that's my responsibility.

The coach is responsible for allowing this to happen. He didn't make the call but his actions caused them to get the private phone number and pull the prank. Not wanting to hold him responsible makes no sense.,

This was the college age son of the guy. It wasn’t client files. It wasn’t x rated pics. It was a well executed prank. He hurt no one. Poor Sanders feelings were hurt? Come on. It’s ridiculous. When I was 21 I did all sorts of stupid things. The NFL attitude of being some sort of moral beacon is a joke.

and thus by this reasoning, every fan of the falcons should be fined as well.

Unlike most, I usually agree with you more often than not. But not here. I would be ok with the Falcons fining the coach. They can set any standards they want. But the league fining the team? The kid was an adult.

The son certainly deserves to pay for this; the father, I think that deserves more investigation. But to blame the team? That actually says that the person doing it is really not to blame, does it not? He was helpless or a pawn or whatever according to your claim. This is not personal accountability; this is blame everyone you can.

Accountability is exactly what this is. It all starts at the top.

This was about the draft…the Falcons’ stupid kid ***** with the draft process. That’s why Goodell and the league stepped in. Part of Goodell’s responsibility is to make sure the draft process runs smoothly and that there aren’t any shenanigans that screw with that process in any way. It’s a zero-tolerance policy, and it should be. This was not just a Falcons issue.
