DBs ducking their heads,on tackles in the problem here. They all want to make the Ronnie Lott hit rather than wrapping up. Remember T Newman getting hurdled by the TE against the gnats? Form tackling has become a lost art in today's NFL but it can be just as punishing as the BS they call tackling now.

He deliberately contorted his body all the way thru the play to Not make contact, watch the video.

It does appear that way...

His body motion was like if someone was walking and came to a corner and just as he got the corner somebody coming the other way suddenly appeared, and instinctively moved aside so as to not hit the other person. I really think he was afraid of hitting the guy early and therefore drawing a pass interference penalty, or was trying to knock the receiver off his feet so that the receiver would fall on his back in the field of play, thus letting the clock run out.

To say it was intentionally missing the tackle so that the Vikings would win, that's hardly the way to do it, with the receiver having to jump for the ball, it's a difficult catch and receivers often fall down after making the catch. I just think they would have let the Vikings make an earlier catch and missed tackle in the last drive, if that was the case....

I'm not buying it. Bad attempt at a tackle or not.

Did Goodell page Williams to whiff on the tackle right before the play?
Why not some phantom holding call on the Saints when they drove for the Field goal with 30 seconds left?

I don't doubt it. How do you miss a tackle that badly? Oh, and let's not forget the Titans @ Pats game. Even ROMO called out the refs on a few occasions during that game. Sure, the Pats are a great team and everything, but man, those were DREADFULLY suspicious calls. And what bothers me is that FIFA got hammered BIG TIME for being rigged and corrupted. Yet, that corruption was no where NEAR as obvious as the NFL.

I have thought that a couple of years ago that the NFL might have went to the Pats and say let us bust you on DEFLATEGATE so we do not have to talk about CTE or all these thugs beating up women and we promise Pats & Brady 1 or 2 more Super Bowls. ...It is looking that way..... Oh Jags were the least marketable team in the NFL for years and now they are one game away from the Super Bowl. Vikings got a new stadium the fans do not want to pay for and the Eaglets are still winning with Nic Foles??? The average fan cannot tell the difference but us Diehards can see things don't look right.

Or which is far more plausible is the multiple top 5 picks they have had in the last 7-8 years, the hundreds of $millions of dollars they had to spend in FA, and they brought in a former SB winning coach to be their VP, and got in a good head coach

1st round picks like Luke Joekel & Tyson Alualu. Let's see next year if they are just so good or a bottomfeeder it happened to the Rams ,Panthers, etc. ....If I was Jerry Jones I would defy Goodell and have my team standing for the National Anthem all next season vs what the NFL wants is the players to hide in the lockerroom. Jones should just pay the fine and say "SCREW IT"!!!

The other owners have to be envious and jealous of the Cowboys. We have not been in a Super Bowl in 20 years and we still are the most marketable and popular team. I can see The Rooney's & Mara's behind closed doors knashing their teeth hating us..

1st round picks like Dante Fowler, Myles Jack, Jaelen Ramsey, Leonard Fournette, then add FA signings like Calais Campbell, Marcel Dareus, Malik Jackson, AJ Bouye, then add the likes of Allen Robinson 2nd round, Yannick Ngakoue 3rd round, Marquis Lee 2nd round.

What a stupid thread.

All the hotheads and complete buffoons in the NFL, and people think they could cover something like this up?

I do believe I've noticed a tendency of refs to make calls to keep games close. However, no, there's no great conspiracy. As someone just said, you could absolutely not cover that up. If anything is going on, I can guarantee the players are not in on it.

I’ve contemplated that angle but the stakes are very high. Anybody that would Out the entertainment industry would have to go into witness protection and that is not even safe. These guys are paid like actors, why would they Out it? There’s so much money being made at the very least teams are told to keep it interesting more often than not, point spreads, etc.

To each their own, it’s kind of hypocritical that you get Cart Blanche calling people stupid though when in fact you are the one that can only see one angle.. Must be nice to live such a sheltered life....

That's my thought. If there is any script, it's by the refs either blowing or swallowing their whistles at certain times.
Tacky hold or Irving getting held with no call.
I can't see a player risking his rare opportunity to stay/play in this league. One thing if this was some random safety signed off the street, but we are talking about a rookie Safety who had a huge INT that sparked that comeback.
Refs aren't far-fetched, as we have seen in the NBA.

There is no way Richard Sherman would be able to keep his mouth shut. That dude is calling out fantasy football and gambling as reasons why certain things are done. If there is a fix, my guess is he will be the player to blab about it. If he's not saying it then I'm not buying it because he loves to talk.

Who cares about punishing. Tackle the guy.

There were actually people complaining about Sean Lee not lighting people up enough. Well, that lighting up crapp? You just saw the results. Just tackle the guy.
