I prefer the old 2-day draft with the creme de la creme picked the first several rounds followed by the detritus of the lower rounds on Day 2.

The 3 day stunt is obvious in its greed by the NFL. As SB Nation says it so well.
So why did the NFL change to a three-day format? Well, for the same reason the NFL does anything these days — TV money. (As if the 3rd-day ratings are so good.)

Are you chaps OK with 3 days?
Mods, help an old altah boy with a poll.

Do you prefer 2 days or 3 days?

Two day. 1-3 day one and 4-7 day two.

5 Minutes between picks on day one and 4 minutes on day two and this would make them do trades before the draft on day one instead of milking the clock for commercials and talking heads.

That's 7.5 hours on day one so they would need to start it earlier around 4pm.

2 days, easy. Im all pumped up fore the Cowboys and after day 1 ends, it’s like, that’s it?! I much rather have the first 3 day 1 and the rest day 2. Easy Saturday and Sunday fun.

I would go to 2 days with rounds 1-3 on day one and 4-7 on day 2. Doing round 1 on it's own day is ultimate showmanship by the NFL. I would also encourage teams to make their picks when they know who they want rather than taking the full number of minutes allowed. The first round is a joke. These teams know who they are drafting days or weeks before the draft starts. They have short lists for round 1. There is no need to take every second of the full 15 minutes to make a selection, especially the very first pick, which should be settles long before the draft clock starts ticking - unless they are trying to trade down or entertain trades for their pick.

Wait until they do a first round pick per day over a month with 30 minutes leading up to the pick and 30 minutes after for discussion. Apple will buy it and charge a few hundred to watch.

On a side note: it seems like every 1st round talent is brought to the draft room. I liked it much better when it was the select few that happened to be top 5-10 talent.

I like the three days. Hell, sign me up as a vote for 4 days of draft coverage and increase the draft to 10 rounds.

The format doesn't change anything for me. I generally don't follow along outside of the 1st round anymore and the 1st round miraculously still happens on day 1 of the draft. And the clock is shorter so that's nice.

When I was a kid with no responsibility the 2 days were great.

Being older with young kids, 3 days is great because I don’t miss anything day 1 and 2.
You miss the most important picks of the Cowboys.

Loved the Saturday and Sunday. If it ain't broke why fix it. Just like having every week a Thursday night game, and more overseas games. Goodell needs this to help pay his enormous salary. Wake me up at around 11:15 When the Cowboys pick. First round is a slow and boring exercise in Hallmark moments.

2 days. Press conference after each day.

Oh no I still watch. I haven’t missed a draft in 20 years

Just a little more tough lol
The best entertainment is the meltdowns here after the picks. You’d think WWWIII had started the doom and gloom and plethora of arm chair GM’s.
