CFZ The NFL off-season usually tells us which teams are the more serious contenders

Tampa Bay and the Rams are now in cap hell for their moves. They stole from the future to feed a run and now they suffer. Philly was able to be so aggressive because Hurts is on a rookie contract, not a luxury we have.
What matters is cap hit. If your cap hit is close to or under 10%, it doesn't matter whether or not your QB is on a rookie contract. Dak has been that for every year of his contract except the tag year. This year he's 11.7, but that's what matters. Last year he was an 8.9% cap hit. That should give them some room to acquire some talent if the opportunity arises without ruining your cap.

No…actually moving on from Tyreek Hill was a big part of a good off-season plan by the chiefs. They saved cap space and through that trade, allowed them to gain draft capital. The Tyreek Hill move was THE centerpiece of their off-season.
I agree. But many didn’t.

The cap isn't managed in a one-year bubble. You manage it like a flowing river over time.

Dak's obligation is 4 years, 160$ mil.

I'm just going by who is and isn't getting to the SB. And besides the Chiefs, it's teams with QBs either on rookie deals, or cap hits under or near 10%. That seems to be the trend for the last 8-10 years. Based on that alone you can pretty much tell what teams aren't going to the SB.

Skins won the off-season for a decade...

Bucs won because they had the GOAT.

Rams. Yes, trades and fa were big for them but coaching and run blocking scheme are core for them.

Eagles. Coaching. Designed perfect scheme for Hurts.

KC. Mahomes...
Setting aside your obvious contempt for @Bobhaze, what point did you make?

Getting all caught up in your feelz doesn't produce good rebuttals, Braveheart.

Especially since Kelce is the center piece of that O. Along w/ Mahomes, of course.

I have contempt for trolls.

Are you adding yourself to the list?
