How do you know what I offered at that time. The Chargers weren't a bad team when we played them.
This is the post I responded to. Sorry it wasn’t from you.

“The good thing is, home or away this year, the Cowboys have beaten up on all the bad teams they played except the Cardinals. Hopefully they continue it next week in Washington.”

We heard weeks ago the Cowboys had zero chance to catch the Eagles so just settle for the 5 seed on this forum. Today was a reminder why no one should ever concede... Lets take the division next week!!!

Winners always push forward!!!!
If anyone needed this to remind them then they were clueless to begin with.

We need to play it like a playoff game. Bring it with that intensity. A lot of riding on next week and getting a win, on the road, on grass will greatly improve our seeding and psyche.
I just don't see this happening, I don't see McCarthy getting them hyped up enough.

So, what we should expect is the Cowboys to come out flat, with McCarthy likely starting the game trying to establish the run (like that ever works this season  ). A 3-and-out is likely on the 1st possession.

And Quinn may come out in Bend-But-Don't-Break-ish type defenses, giving up short passes and not putting 9 or 10 in the box to make Washington pass. So Washington will likely come out and drive right down the field.

Then the Cowboys will realize that they need to get going, and in the 2nd quarter they'll open it up. But by this time, the crowd will be all hyped with a lead, and the Cowboys may start to commit silly penalties (false starts and such).

Ultimately, the Cowboys will have to overcome their own ineptitude and lack of focus in the 1st half, and then hopefully the Cowboys can put them away by early in the 4th quarter by having an explosive 3rd quarter.

It's the Cowboys, on the road, in a big game...they are destined to come out flat and lethargic (and a lot of this will be due to the early gameplans on both sides of the ball). Don't expect urgency until late in the 2nd quarter right before halftime.

If that happens then McCarthy should be fired the second the season ends unless we have the Lombardi.

Wouldn’t it be fitting if we dropped a turd in Maryland . We aren’t playing that well so it wouldn’t be a total shock .

We are backing into the division from help from Zona, Egirls spiraling down worse than us and of course officials major blunder and Dumb Dan.

I’m giving Jimmy's induction credit . Football gods are looking in again.
how is it backing in if we have the sams number of wins?

Washington would love to spoil things for the Cowboys, but from a practical standpoint shouldn't they be more interested in securing a higher draft pick?

Not saying they should throw the game but they have nothing at stake but pride. Hopefully a lot of their players mentally pack it in and are thinking about the offseason ahead.
They probably are more interested in getting the hot water turned on.

You never look at the schedule and count wins or losses. The cards win in Philly reinforces the NFLs greatest lesson taught every year: You never know what’s going to happen.

As we look at Wash next week with the division there for the taking, here’s hoping the Cowboys will be at their best. Because the NFL constantly reminds us that we can’t count wins ahead of time.
Salary cap has created parody. Any one good team can play down and any one bad team can play up at any given point creating an upset.

And…here’s another bedrock truth for the NFL: It takes an entire 17 game season to know playoff seeding. Every year. Champions are never crowned in October.

I’ve never understood the ‘we should beat x team by 20+’. That’s not at all how the NFL works. The spread margins for the favorites every week are mostly very close. Every team in the NFL is full of pro players who can rise to the occasion on any Sunday. No team is made up of scrubs.

As far as Philly goes, they were barely scraping by when they were 10-1. I mean, they were SO fortunate to not be 6-5 at that point. That catches up to a team eventually.

Live in the DMV. Let's pray it's like today. Clear-sunny and 45 degrees, light wind.
There will be some rain but the Commanders are ready to pack it in. Rivera is on his way out and unless he pulls a Lovey Smith they don't want to move away from the #2 position in the draft and miss on Caleb Williams.
