Have you heard of anyone not getting a confirmation email over there, Reality?
This is about the NES that they released last year that they stopped selling, not the soon-to-be released SNES.

.. and you should register over there :D
That's what I was referring to, sir :)

I tried once and didn't get a confirmation email. I thought it was a quiet way of saying "go away" :)

I'll try again. I'll use my same username here since it's not Punddits. Same email, everything, sir.

Reality question? why most if not all game websites have a darker background. I find it exhausting to read white text on a dark background.

Mainly because games have darker themes (screens) and light site themes tend to make game sites look just like all other sites. Also, for many game sites, the darker theme helps bring the community together as it feels a little more special.

Dark theme options are provided for many popular sites as well, with others considering the same. That said, it is great when sites offer both and if GameNotOver ever gets popular, I'll definitely consider doing that.

I post at GameFaqs infrequently (used to post there a lot) and they have a white background. I was part of a Battlefield Clan and we had our own website, which was black with green letters. I've seen both. I think IGN is white background.

Excited to join your site, Reality, with my buds here. :) Made a lot of PSN friends when I was active at FAQs

Those sites have light backgrounds because they are owned by huge media organizations who use white backgrounds for all of their sites. IGN is owned by Ziff-Davis and GameFAQs is owned by CBS. That said, gameFAQs has always used a light theme since it launched long ago because it has contained guides and cheats which are much easier to read on light themes. You will also find a lot of gaming news sites use light layouts due to a lot of readable content as well.

As I said though, game sites typically use dark themes to promote a unique community feel for gamers. Otherwise, it feels just like every other site. For example, there are hundreds if not thousands of game news sites that look like IGN. If it were a new site, it would have a hard time finding a community no matter how many users they drove to the site.

A majority of gaming communities use dark themes though. If I were to launch a gaming news site, cheat/guide site, etc., they would use a light theme.

The SNES classic is also going to be released into 2018 where previously they had said it would only be produced until the end of the year.

I had the same issue initially when registering too. It took awhile for the confirmation email to come through.

Sometimes you need to spell it out in layman's terms for Reality and sometimes even providing reference links to dictionary.com for extra support and understanding. :muttley:
