The offensive line is mediocre thread

They had a better game this week.
All I heard this week was that they could not handle the NYG DL since they could not handle the Panthers.
I look forward to see if they can improve against the Seahawks. Could be a good test.

It's a shame Tyron Smith had these back injuries flare up. Was definitely on pace for a HOF career. Now, even if "healthy" isn't the same dominate blocker. The false start penalties are annoying too. I could understand Hotel Adams false starts since he was deaf in his right ear, but I don't think Smith has the same issue lol.
Williams will have his ups and downs till he can bulk up in the offseason.
Not sure when we'll have Frederick back/when he will be in NFL shape.

They looked better, but for a line with some highly paid guys/high draft picks it would be nice to see better production.

If the offense is to become more consistent then the offensive line has to up their game. To me that's the unit that is holding the offense back more than anything and that includes Dak, Zeke, the WR's and the OC.
They improved from game 1. But to me Tyron and Collins are more of the problem. They're killing more drives than the interior.

They may have more collective talent but they sure as heck haven't exhibited it yet through the first 2 games. Better last night than vs. the Panthers but still not good.
I would like to see them pound the defense with more Zeke. His YPC are pretty good. Dak was terrible last week and made the OL look worse than they really are. Yes, they are not the dominant unit from 2016, but still a good group.

Pass pro was good against NYG. They are built to stop the run. Snacks is a beast. We ran better than I thought we would. 4+ YPC against that DLine is a win for the rushing game.

As much money that is invested in this OL, they should be performing better. Snacks and Short are tough couple games for the rook, but the rest of the OL are vets and some extremely well paid.

Tend to agree. They did a better job in pass protection last night but run blocking wasn't great. Going back to the Atlanta game when the wheels came off for the offense last year, I think a lot of the woes can be traced right to the O-line. I still think Collins is a better G than tackle and we seem set on making Williams a guard instead of a tackle. I was hoping Paul Alexander might correct some of that stuff but so far not

It was better in that Dak had more time but they still can’t create anything for Zeke.
Seems like they're running against a lot of difficult fronts.

The OL hasn't been great, but I don't think they're fighting a winning battle right now. There were two 20-yard runs...On a team that can't throw the football down the field, that's a pretty significant positive.

They're having problems throwing the ball downfield because the offensive line is not providing consistently good protection.

Pass blocking gave up no sacks that I recall, Zeke running for 4.6 yards/carry.

The Gnats said they were going to load the box to stop the run, run blitz's etc.

So yeah, not all of our starters are playing, but I don't think any offensives woes we have can be blamed on the majority by the offensive line.

Much smoother than week 1. I expect the O line to improve as time goes on. There are some new players and position coaches that take time to develop chemistry and consistency.

Disagree on the pass protection. I saw far too many pass protection breakdowns that caused Prescott to have to A. Move out of danger or B. Dump the ball off quickly or throw it out of bounds... Sometimes both on the same play.

There weren't any sacks given up because Prescott got rid of the ball so quickly... Many times simply throwing it out of bounds.

I will say they are not playing to their potential but Carolina and NYG both have a stout interior of their DL. This OL is running with a rookie and back up center...
