Rumors of a rift between Callahan and Garrett are out there. If Garrett stays, it'll be interesting to see if Callahan does also.

Can you elaborate? I haven't heard anything but wouldn't be at all surprised if true

They need to give Parnell a chance to beat out Free. Parnell is physically superior to Free. I'm convinced that after a few starts Parnell would be much better than Free; however, you might have to live with a few mistakes for a few games. Unfortunately, he missed almost all of the preseason and training camp. I think he only played in the preseason game against the Bengals and he was visibly limping then. There were reports that the OL coaches preferred Parnell but that "management" wanted to stay with the veteran Free. I'm not sure if management is Garrett or Jerry.

Totally agree. Parnell beating out Free next year would be an improvement. Waters for a full year while Bern becomes a back up would be an improvement as well. I also think we add more depth in the draft.

With the normal improvement you get from a full year of experience from Fred and Leary, plus the cohesion of playing together for a full year - and this OL should be even better next year.

hopefully the fact that team was extremely fortunate with injuries to the OL this year will not mask that there is room for improvement. They have zero depth at several positions and the running game remains a little weak, any upgrades at LG/RG/ and RT would be a good thing. There was a big step forward this year but hopefully Jerry doesn't mistake this position group for being a finished product.
