Wow, what a game... Anyone think Malkin might get a suspension, or at least a fine for his elbow to the head of Franzen?

The Pens were a frustrated team last night and took some dumb penalties, and the Wings made them pay for it. Datsyuk's return last night was huge for Detroit, and they will probably seal the deal, and take the cup Tuesday night.

If anyone here who is not a fan of hockey or just never really followed it, watch this game. It will probably be the best game of the year, and you will see some great hockey.

Any predictions for the Conn Smythe? I have a feeling it will be Osgood.
Has anyone had an under the radar hall of fame career like Chris Osgood. Now, I say that knowing if he was not with Detroit he would not be close to the numbers he has. 3 cup wins as starter (if they win), 400 wins (next year).

Love watching the Penguins go all the way to the Finals and fail, again.

It's Eagles skid marks causing it. Tell them to move to a compeltely different state. :laugh2:

Pretty good game last night. The Wings will have to do it in 7 games, if they plan to repeat. The Penguins looked a lot more poised last night, and if they can do that back in Detroit friday night, they can definitely take the cup. I really thought Detroit was going to tie the game there near the end, but Scuderi made an awesome play in front of the net to stop the puck.

As much as I don't want the Penguins to win, it would be funny to see Hossa play in two consecutive cup finals, for two different teams, and NOT win (He played for Pittsburgh last year, Detroit this year, for those not knowing what I'm talking about). It just sucks that I won't be able to watch the final, since I have a game that night.

kmp77, playoff hockey is awesome.. If you thought last nights game was exciting on tv, you should see a playoff game in person.. The speed of the game in person is unreal, you see a lot more of the game (how plays form) that you don't get to see on tv, and the crowds get crazy.

I was there last year when the Dallas Stars reached the Western Conference finals, and it was a really intense, fun journey. I'm hoping the Stars can return to post season play this coming season.

Hockey is so much fun, I actually started playing it. :laugh2:

Anyone else watching game 7, tonight? I have a hockey game, and won't be able to catch it live, but a friend is taping it, so will see after. It should be a great game. :D

Turnovers will absolutely KILL you in the playoffs. If Detroit can't come back and win this game, they won't have to look any further than turnovers for a reason why.

Great series. I think Detroit thought they had it after Game 5. Marc-Andre Fleury came up big the last 2 games.

Well, I didn't watch the whole game (lost desire to watch whole game after a few of my teammates blurted out the final score in the lockerroom), so I just watched about half of the third period, and the cup presentation.

Just from the part of the game I did watch, the Wings looked gassed out there tonight. They were missing passes, which is odd for Detroit, and Pittsburgh seem to have them figured out. What a save by M.A. Fleury at the end of the game.

It was nice to see my boy, Boucher (43), and Guerin (former Dallas Stars) skate with the cup, and the look on Hossa's face after the final horn was priceless. :lmao:

Bingo! City full of a bunch of front runners. There were "so many" Penguins fans a few years ago that they almost lost the franchise.

PENGUINS RULE

what a helluva series.........awesome.

I hope we get Penguins-Wings Part 3 next year.

Those last two games were not good for the ole ticker....but the Pens prevailed and that is all that matters.

Mad respect and props to the Wings. They are one great organization and nothing short of a machine on the ice.

GO PENS GO
