I think the winners were,
Denver
Buffalo
Houston
Niners
Saints

Unless the Saints have future picks that aren't listed, they'd have to go down as one of the worst. Sitting at #2 and they don't get a difference maker.

NE looks great with the exception of Drew (serious character issues).

Drew was my second to last choice at RB i had every intention of staying in the first and taking Maroney that didnt happen so i trade out but too far down to get Joseph Addai

Thats the first I've heard about Drew, from what I've seen the kid is all heart. De La Salle doesn't put out any Pac Man types.

I do not understand why Manny Lawson is not considered a top guy....
He has size and numbers comparible to Ware and played at a bigger program...
Lawson will be a stud in the NFL mark my words......
I also do not think Lawson makes it out of the top 12 in the other draft..

Further more I live in Carolina and therefore saw my share of games he and Mario played and Lawson was the guy that stood out not Mario

Curious. So where do you project Manny? a 3-4 LB, 4-3LB or 4-3 DE??

Manny size and speed/quickness wise remind me of Urlacher , therefore for the Saints I would try him at MLB.

He is as fast as corners with the size of a 4/3 DE . I think he could be usefull on any defense.

If he became another Jason Taylor or John Abraham I could also live with that.

Manny has all the measurbles and tested very well , he is a good citizen with no character issues.
He is a smart player.
he is a high motor guy.
The only knock I have heard on this guy is that he may or may not have the intincts to play LBer and that mostly comes from his college coaches and for that I look at the talent of that team and think Wow, these coaches sure did not do a very good job.

I would have a difficult time with 2 things. One, I haven't seen anyone project him as a MLB. He is not known as a smash mouth tackler that you need in a MLB.
Two, why would you take him at 7 when he would have ben there at 13? Also, who takes a MLB in the top 7 unless he is a proven commodity. If he may not have the instincts to play LBer, what makes you think he can MLB? That position has to be the smartest out of all of them. Just a questionable choice, especially when the saints had their pick of players at #2.

I traded out of the 2 pick to get an extra pick .
When I made this trade I thought that Young or Cutler would be picked in the top 6 but they werent and available when I picked but I felt I did not beed a QB because Brees is still a young player and so I picked the player who I felt could give back the best reward.

Went for the trade but I did not want to get any picks for next year because I wanted to play on Saturday...Then I did not want to go over my aloted time of 5 Mins so it was out of W.Justice and M.Lawson and I made the pick also almost went Vince Young but like I said we had Brees...

I do think Lawson can be an impact player and I have read where scouts do say he is an intelligent player , as for MLB That statement was just to say that with his talents I feel he could play anywhere on defense I almost wrote that he would be the corner , in that respect I think he is a lot like Urlacher.
Urlacher was a safety in college and even in his pro game he cover well , is big enough to play a lineman and I think Manny has the attributes to be a player like that , will that translate to the pro game.I have no idea but the ground work is there to suggest it may .
That is why I took the pick at 7

wow what the heck was the Cowboys person thinking. that draft really stinks, plus we get a first rder next year from Seattle? They are likely to be in the 25-32 range again bad trade.

Urlacher played just about EVERY position in college. For crying out loud, he even freakin' PUNTED for New Mexico, they were that bad. He had experience to play multiple positions, Lawson doesn't fit into that category. Plus, Brees is essentially on a contract similar to Owens where it could be a one and done year depending on his play. It would have been perfect to develop a QB, or take Dbrick.

Not to mention the Harper over Anthony Smith pick. Maybe it's just my opinion, but Smith > Harper.
