So it's pretty much the same team as last year. Lost Carter, added Lee. And traded a pro bowl RB for a pro bowl DE. Upgraded depth at DB and lost some at WR.

Thanks for posting this. Where did this come from, was it from the team, or the media. If from the team, was it from the coaches, or just a quick summation by someone on the staff.
Was this recent or pre TC.

But seems pretty accurate from a qucik look.

But will change as TC gets going.

Quite a few surprises to me at least, I think this chart dispels some assumptions that I made and maybe that some others have made, while confirming others.

Very surprised at the WR breakdown

Haven't heard ANYTHING about Nick Harwell this offseason, yet he is ranked higher than many of his peers. AJ Jenkins I thought was struggling, but looks like he is probably rated above Harwell, though it is difficult to tell based on the chart since it goes back and forth i.e. Bryant is clearly higher than Williams, however Beasley is clearly higher than Street.

I think we shouldn't make any conclusions about the wide receiver position until we see these guys in the preseason.

Interesting, yet not surprising that McFadden who hasn't participated would be off the list entirely.

The chart also confirms that Escobar has leap frogged Hanna on the depth chart.

More surprises at defensive end and defensive tackle. I'm glad to see Mincey listed at left defensive end. I think that is where he belongs with Hardy there. I think it will be interesting to see who becomes the starter at the weak side for the first 2-4 games, whether it be Mincey or Gregory.

I'm surprised to see Ben Gardner and Ryan Russell behind Lavar Edwards and Kenneth Boatright and I'm also surprised to see Jack Crawford above Ken Bishop and Chris Waley (Whaley?)

I also would have liked to see McClain listed as Hayden's backup instead of Crawford's.

Interesting that Hitch is MLB. He was slated to be the SLB. I'd figured he would play SLB but stay in when we went nickle (the SLB in this scheme is usually a two down sorta guy).

I'm thinking the staff sees Hitch as our MLB of the future and that he's a guy they want on the field regardless of position. I hope he added a little weight this off-season - he was good last year but ten more pounds of him and he's delivering a good bit more thump

That rookies are listed far down is no surprise. They have to earn a higher spot. It isn't a gift that comes with being drafted

A couple of the media guys said early that they didn't think the coaches felt Hitchens was a great fit at SLB. He might move there once McClain returns though. Just made a topic about this. I think the development of Hitchens will determine whether the FO invests in McClain any further.

It isn't just that they are rookies as you can see with the Big 3. 4th rd Damien Wilson is with the second team, but 5th rd Ryan Russell is with the 4th team. Most people expect Ben Gardner to make the roster, so it is also surprising to see him with the 4th team.

He's manning MLB while McClain recovers and gets off suspension.
