Maybe Im wrong, but it seemed to me that the majority of the time we blitzed the corners were playing 10 yards off. At one point Schuab was 7-10 for 49 yards. That's not many yards per catch. Scahub was basically throwing 5 yard hooks the entire time as immeadite check downs. I was waiting for one of two things: The first being the corners would move up and Ware would get a few sacks; Or, the corners jumping the short pass for a TD. Neither happened. Have anyone else noticed the same thing?

This defense is fine.

We have not put all the pressure package together yet, Coverages, blitzes, stunts.

I think we will see a different product against the Giants.

Aside from Glenn, I don't think our CBs know how to jump a route.

And being under Zimmer for 2 years, I think even Glenn has been neutered of that ability.

Only issue I had with the defense is poor tackling. If your going to be aggressive you better make sure tackles instead of these so called kill shots. With so many guy attacking the line it opens you up to big plays if you don't make your tackles

:hammer:

I agree about tackling as well. I like the pressure D, and I feel as if alot of the players were going through the motions on Saturday too. Houston played at a high level, very close to a regular season type atmosphere and we just didnt match it on every down. I also feel that that was not our true defense that will show up on week 1.
