The one thing I am upset with Parcells about.

Look, I am not one of those, Fire Him, Get rid of Him, I hope he quits guys that lay around here.

Honestly I think that is totally silly. And honestly you better be carefull what you wish for, because for all you know the future of this team would be handed over to Campo 2.

But, I am upset and very disappointed in Parcells with 2 things.

1. Torrin Tucker. I am sorry but he has no business in the NFL. He is not even functional. After his first couple of years, and his pre-season there is no way he should have been on this roster. I blame Parcells for this.
I definetly do not blame him for Flozells injury, but Tucker being our recourse at the most important O-Line position is just absurd.

2. Thinking we would be able to function at RT in the off-season without doing anything. I realize we spent a lot of money in the off-season and you can not hit every spot you want to, but come on.

here's a kleenex.

our D was blown up and is very close to be a a very good bunch that can be around for a long time (ie. the crew bill built in NE)

next year the OL and O will be addressed.

I agree 100% with #1...Tucker is a waste...not even an NFL back up. What the hell what he even thinking here???

Looking back at Bill's great ball control teams, esp. the Giants, one would think the OL would be a Parcells's forte......in Dallas it has been the complete opposite....I am still scratching my head as to the reason why?

No doubt about it, Champs.

One thing I never would have guessed about Parcells before he came here is the strange attraction he has for these personal project types that he takes a liking to. That was a great story about Parcells talking to Torrin's mother for some insight on him, but he's still an undrafted converted college guard who has already proven he can't win the less demanding tackle spot.

Could be worse. Coulda kept Tyson Walter around and lined him up over there instead.

I would consider this an extremely fair and reasonable criticsm of the Parcell's Regime to date, and it is probably the biggest disappointment.

I'm also a little confused why JJ keeps getting the bulk of the carries when Barber has been by far the more productive back in terms of running, catching and blocking, but that's a different thread....

Rome wasnt built over night. Untill yesterday we had half of this team fixed.
Heck we even have a few building blocks on O. Takes time.

Good question.....

My only answer would be that they are Two different type of RBs and he is using them in situations that best fits their style of running.

I agree that at this point in time I would be starting Barber who has been the most productive of the two, but to be fair, I do think JJ has been hampered from his injury and is not 100%.

Next years TC will be interesting.

I have no doubt in the long run JJ will prove to be a better RB in this league. Probably starting next year when he is healthy again and (hopefully) the line play has improved.

I think Barber just fits better with the type of blocking we are getting from our O-line - as in, none. He's a stronger runner who can make yards after contact, not something that is JJ's forte. JJ excells in space, and there has been precious little of it this year.

Barber is also a far better receiver and blocker at this point than JJ.

Im with you on this one.

I guess parcells thought his draft pics would develop into reliable starters. That would be Al J, Rodgers, Peterman. was Vollers his ?

Guessing he thought he would see some improvements with tucker.

He probably thought he could ride LA with the hardnosed caoching approach and get him to return to probowl form cause the biggest knock on him last few years was that he was overweight and out of shape or lazy.

And everyone thought Rivera would bring leadership and quality play.

I dont know, its a little like parcells has been snakebit on this one, because Rivera gets hurt right after signing, his play has been so far below what its been the past few years, the draft pics have not been good ones, LA has not been able to play at probowl level no matter what parcells does and tucker has not looked like a starter at the tackle position despite given ample opportunity. And then Flo gets hurt.

Its like everything that could have gone wrong with OLine has, and now i hear Rivera is out for the season, just heard it from a friend so not sure if that is true.

So, i guess parcells has tried to improve the OLine, I mean, you would think that we would have hit something there with FA, draft or playing some who were backups when parcells got here. But really, nothing has looked good at all, its been a steady decline.

Absolutely

Before we can ever hope to have the running game we desire(from either back) the OL play has to be improved.

What I like about Barber is that he seems to give it his all on every play, will fight for that extra yard etc.

I didn't like Pam Oliver pulling her best Dr. Phil and saying that despite what Jones says, his body language says he is upset that Barber gets the ball near the goal line. Face it girl, you are sideline eye candy nothing else. Leave psychology to the psychologists.

The one thing that really really upsets me about parcells...is his lack of ability to get those unruly manboobs under control.

He has all that money...go to a plastic surgeon.
