The only concern I have going forward is Dak

Every rookie QB, good ones, bad ones, mediocre ones, hit the skids at some point their rookie seasons. They all do. Some do it early, some do it in the middle of the season, some fade late.

And sometimes they don't seem to get it back.

And that's my concern with Dak. Before the Dak fans get their panties wadded up, I am not saying he's a bad QB but he's a rookie. They make mistakes and can often just look putrid. That's where Dak is right now and this really is the worst time to go into a funk. I am concerned he won't get it back for this season.

If he finds himself again, I am surprisingly uber confident heading into the postseason with the way the defense is playing and without some key players like Claiborne (and Church playing with a busted arm). But I worry, he's hitting his rookie slump at the worst possible time.

It's going to be interesting if he struggles against a Tampa defense that could give us fits.

If your only concern is Dak...I think you are missing some other concerns.

WRs running poor routes sometimes (Dez).
WRs Dropping balls they should catch sometimes.
Poor play calling in some situations (SOME of that can go toward Dak when they give him the ability to audible).
Oline penalties when that seem to hit after we just had a big run or play.

And just because the defense played well last night...they are near the bottom of the NFL vs the pass for most of the season not to mention, again besides last night, the lack of Turn Overs and Sacks.

So just saying that Dak is the only concern makes me wonder if you are really watching the games or just focusing on Dak since so many find it easy to blame the QB or praise the QB on whether it is a win or loss as if they are the only ones determining the outcome of games.

The WR'S are lousy and have been for years. That's my concern and is every week.

Of course there are other "issues" but the biggest and most crucial is QB play. They were 11-1 heading into that game and if Dak has even a mediocre game, they win by 7 or more.

best response.

my concern tho, (glad i didnt ask that question), did this offense do better without Dez. Not that i want to pile on Dez, but i feel Linehan pulled a marinelli and did better with less talent? is that possible. Maybe it was the teams, idk, but i feel this team rolled better while Dez was on the sidelines. Could just be me.

These things have been issues all year. Not one of them prevented the team from winning 11 straight. The team didn't lose or have close calls until their quarterback started struggling. This highlights the importance of good quarterback play. It puts a lot on Dak, and it's not always fair. But it is reality. Quarterback play will always trump every other concern.

Yeah. Same thoughts here. I know its easy to talk after those games and say that maybe we rushed to fast to the Dak bus, I know its business and staying with Dak also is the best option in the long term... But Romo´s been in this league for 10+years already, and today is best passer than Dak.

We dont really know if we would be 11-2 with Tony at Qb, we dont even know if yesterdays game would be any different with Tony... But it starts to show that Dak is a rookie. And we can and should rely on our O-Line and Rb more than in him. If that is enough to say, reach deep in playoffs, we need to see it, but it is what it is.

(sorry for my bad english).
