Every rookie QB, good ones, bad ones, mediocre ones, hit the skids at some point their rookie seasons. They all do. Some do it early, some do it in the middle of the season, some fade late.
And sometimes they don't seem to get it back.
And that's my concern with Dak. Before the Dak fans get their panties wadded up, I am not saying he's a bad QB but he's a rookie. They make mistakes and can often just look putrid. That's where Dak is right now and this really is the worst time to go into a funk. I am concerned he won't get it back for this season.
If he finds himself again, I am surprisingly uber confident heading into the postseason with the way the defense is playing and without some key players like Claiborne (and Church playing with a busted arm). But I worry, he's hitting his rookie slump at the worst possible time.
It's going to be interesting if he struggles against a Tampa defense that could give us fits.
