Needs to stay at the LB position and then freelance him from that. Full time DE is not what he is about.

Parsons is an edge rusher in the new base 11 package NFL.
On the edge for pass rush downs, off the ball LB but often blitzing on other downs.
Too good to take off the field, not big enough to be a down lineman on run downs.

I think they want to move toward more 3 man fronts with a big NT to protect him from interior olinemen more on run downs.

Better start shuffling that roster and make sure you can pay this guy the boat load of money it will require.

He’s under contract for 3 more years and then you can franchise tag him for 2 years. By that time, he’ll be worn down from going against 320 pound tackles full time and you can sign him to a reasonable contract to be a 3rd down pass rush specialist.
