on this team is sitting the bench. I guess Garrett and Captain Hee-Haw must have forgot what Choice did last December against some of the leagues best Defenses.

Choice is a playmaker and gives us the best chance for big gains (right now). Felix used to be the big play guy but he seems to be running scared. Instead of lowering a shoulder when he breaks it outside, he chooses to try to jump over tacklers or slows to a stop. This has cost him a few big hits here in the last three games. He is definitely not using his speed like he once did.

When I saw Felix w/ the RW31 sleeves and the hand warmer on the KO I knew it wasnt his day. And MB3 cant create anything on his own. That was a Choice game and @ WSH will be a Choice game.

I love Felix in the other 3.

I think whenever Wade and Garrett's days are done here, it could be the mismanagement of the running backs -- not the number of carries -- that we frown the most over.

So many people have gotten caught up on Garrett not running enough, but really, that usually doesn't concern me. But I'm there with the rest of you in this thread about who we have running the football.

Much like the inexplicable decision to suddenly start Barber against New York when we hadn't done that all season in 2007 -- and that after going through the final 8 games bashing our heads against the wall over why Julius was getting so many carries.

I don't know if it's to protect egos or what, but this staff is very reactionary -- and way late in being so. I think it's a legitimate gripe, and not just a knee-jerk one.

But, yes, Choice would be the guy I'd be a proponent for riding the most right now.

Barber just isn't good anymore, he doesn't have the power he once did or he's just turned into a ***** either way expect to see more of Felix and Choice on the bench we we can at least make sure Barbers feeling doesn't get hurt :bang2:

Absolutely right and I also think we would all fall in love with Barber again as the closer.

Classic case of not being able to see the forest through the trees.

If it's just 3 guys competing for the starting position then Choice would be the starter. The reason Barber is the starter is because of his contract, the reason Felix gets more carries is because they have to justify his draft position. When called upon Choice just delivers. Does he have the top end speed of a Felix? No. Neither did Emmitt. What Choice does have is the ability to make the first defender miss and as a RB sometimes that's all you need. What Choice has shown is durability. What he has shown is heart and intangibles that can't be measured. It's time to start him and give him starters carries (around 20). It's not fair to our RB when they have to shuttle in and out of the game. They never get a feel for the game. Last year when we played NY, Choice was instrumental in us winning he game. Against Pittsburgh he balled. When the other RBs were hurt and they had to give him starters carries he has proven himself worthy. It's time for him to get starters carries again.
