aside from the Win obviously is that on Offense and Defense the Cowboys play solid, inspired football.
They don't need 4 sacks, 2 picks or for Romo to throw for 300+ yards. That's just icing. The teams that will go all the way this year may or may not be apparent right now. Yes the Steelers and Colts and Giants, Ravens etc... look very good but will they fade? I would guess on a couple, no. Teams that come together and work together can knock off any of those teams even without the talent.
Talent is just part of it. Leadership another part but the most important part is that each "part" performs it's best every time. Eli wasn't sacked but his receivers weren't really pressured too much either. We ran for a couple hundred yards but our passing game was awful. This team has MORE than enough assembled talent and Garrett knows how to move the ball around but the reason this team is so inconsistent is that some "part" has a fundamental breakdown.
If the Cowboys play "solid" coverage and bring consistent pressure the defense should be fine. If they play a sound game offense and defense, I personally will be happy and I believe they will win and it will mean a lot more than a win. I believe it is the single thing they lack that makes them capable of going all the way.
