We are arguably playing the least talented, uncohesive and unhealthy Eagles team in 6 seasons or since the pickle juice game. Couple that with the fact that our team (Go Cowboys) are fielding.....on paper....pretty much the most talented team from top to bottom since 1996.

Look at the Eagles....

They are missing their center who has started in all but ONE game in the past 4 seasons. Folks that includes the Eagles deep trips into the play-offs and their one SuperBowl experience. That is invaluable experience.

Eagles will either start Trey Darilek who played in one game last year (against Greenbay...McNabb threw 5TD passes) or Jamaal Jackson who was just sgined off the practice squad........Glover, Ferguson and Canty should be licking their chops.

The TE core is banged up. TO is MIA and the only big play making threats are McNabbs and Westbrook.

They'll be starting a rookie DE in place of ND Kalu.........Torrin Tucker should have a mental edge in that battle.........Dan Campbell always does an excellent job in assisting whomever plays RT when we face Kearse. He hasn't had a break-out game against us yet.

They arleady know they can play withthe Eagles after the whooping we handed them earlier in the year.

I don't think it gets any better. We have the Monday night stage to tell the Football Nation the Boys are now a team to be reckoned with. I remember late in 1991 season when we beat the Skins (eventual SuperBowl champions 24-21) and early in the 1992 Superbowl season crushed them again.

This should be our comin gout party and then on to the Fedex and win the division on Dec 18th.

The injuries have left the eagles thin at key positions. Our OLine has a distinctive edge this week. Their running game has shown nothing, our dbacks have faced better wr corps and had shut down games, Im expecting their OLine to make mistakes with inexperience at the center position.

You make great point Charles, and I agree with you.

Dallas "SHOULD" manhandle the Eagles this game for the above reasons.

I am concerned though for Anthony Henry. I am not sure how much of a liability that will be.

I really hope some of the younger guys start to turn on the accelerator and turn this team up a notch. I am speaking of guys like Canty, Burnett, Spears, Jones and Barber.

Dallas' destiny is in their own hands.

I always worry when the game is in their yard. They still aren't a doormat with "Welcome" on inviting us to wipe our feet. The Eagles are a very proud team on the way down, but still very dangerous.

Football is really a simple game to figure out. The best way to win is to dominate with the D-line. Limit the running game and applying constant pressure on the QB. This game will be no different. Like the game in Dallas, if we bring it up front we will win going away.

Excellent post Charles.......I have no doubt we can beat the Eagles in their own back yard but I still worry about our consistency. We have been off for two week how will they play????? Will they hit the field with reckless abandon? Will they be flat? Are they ready to kick butt? I hope they are up to the challenge of being a force in the NFCE. It's there for the taking....Now go do it.

Two games have defined our season so far. The win over the Eagles at home, and the win over the Giants at home, when we seemed to survive a letdown from the win over Philly the week before. If not for those two wins, we'd be 3-5.

As others have already said, this is another defining game. If Parcells and Co. know what they're doing, then the Cowboys will soon take something away from the Eagles that has been theirs for the last 4 years. This won't happen by splitting the home-and-home with the Eagles every year. They have to be swept, and now is the time.

A loss, and Dallas falls into a last place tie. There should be two desperate teams on the field Monday night.

Totally agree.....Divisional games especially NFC East games are never walk overs. We can pretty much throw out the stats.

I think it will be a battle of attrition. We have to throw healthy bodies at this guys and attack their depth. They are a proud and very dangerous team, but there is only so much they can do if we wear them down and make them go deeper into their depth charts during the game.

Westbrook will play significant minutes. He has to take a pounding. We gotta beat him up. If we can make Gordon and Mahe play significant minutes I like our chances.

...part of the game for the Eagles will be from their center position.

let's look at it analytically, over the center is the shortest distance to the QB!

Typically the center makes the assignments calls and that means he has to be able to recognize to some degree the defensive alignments. This is an excellent opportunity to disguise late blitzes up the middle that neither McNabb or the center can't read or threaten with a full blitz up the middle with two backers and pull back.

Make the line and the QB as uncomfortable as possible - make it difficult to get in a groove.

I would use pressure up the middle to force McNabb to leave the pocket and go to his throwing hand. Hopefully we have practiced containment and gave the backers assignments to shoot the gaps. A guy like Dat Nguyen can have a stellar day in nickel and dime peek a booing through the line and shooting through the holes to pressure McNabb into some hurried throws.

Westbrook is not going to make a living running between the tackles so look for him to line up in the slot, at wide and sneak through the middle for dump offs. I wouldn't be surprised if he's given the opportunity to throw a pass on a run around the end.

If we keep McNabb offbalance I don't think he is prepared and focused to handle the adversity of a difficult game given what has happened to him and the team this week.

We don't have to roundly beat these guys, we just have to keep them on the losing side of the scoreboard for the majority of the game and I believe they do not have the fortitude this year to come back.

They have no one in terms of personality to rally around.

Good take - I think we do everything possible to get to and hit McNABB. He can't take a pounding. If we can offensively get going early I forsee another blow out.

We need to physically beat on the Eagles. With our bigger guys like Fergi, Spears, Canty, Fujita, Ware, Roy, Shanle, James

We can bring it as a unit. No more hiding behind guys. Punch you square in the mouth now.

Eventually all old, injured dog can't fend of the bigger, young pups biting at his heels.

Changing of the guard. Parcells has been doing it internally 2 years now and we are reaping the benefits. Hunters, no more hunted.....

Waiting for another pelt to put up on the wall - I'd like to see Parcells retire with 3-4 championships.

Henry not being 100% bothers me too. Another thing that bothers me is McNabb's amazing ability to buy himself so much time to throw the ball. His mobility has improved dramatically since the last time we played them.

This is perhaps the one and only time such words will ever be uttered.
