Bright young man. Already has his business degree. Probably a 5th round prospect, maybe 4th. He is ranked in the mid-20s by most sites of the running backs that will be eligible for the 2023 draft.

Roschon Johnson.
He would be the starter on 90% of every other team. The is in the shadow of Bijan Robinson or more people would know about him.

I know he lost his first game, but I think Sam Ellinger will end up being a decent player in due time, which is interesting to me because his dad was my attorney when he suddenly passed away. Ross, his father, was an amazing attorney. One of those who never lost a jury trial.

I think he can have a decent career as a backup QB, which is nice. He isn't a quality starting NFL QB.

He is too talented to not be drafted. The only reason most people don't know about him is because of Bijan Robinson.
Have to de-rate because he is from UT.

I would be ok with Bijan Robinson late first if not for being from UT...

How many UT players have met expectations in the NFL?

Earl & Earl both great but short careers.

The fails go back to Johnny Lam Jones as the 2nd overall pick in 1980.

Did Johnny Ham Jones even go to the NFL despite being the 1978 Sun Bowl MVP?

Roy Williams.

Ricky Williams.

Connor Williams.

Vince Young.

Cowboys practice squad player Malik Jefferson's size and athleticism jumps off the screen. He often looked like the best athlete on the field in the preseason but this is his 5th season in the NFL and he remains on the practice squad.

Eric Metcalf decent career as a return specialist and part time offensive player but he was picked 13th overall.

Quentin Jammer had an ok career but didn't live up to being the 5th overall pick.

Good Careers
Brian Orakpo 10 years but only 6 in DC.
Is Derrick Johnson 14 years the winner?

Good careers for non 1st round picks.
Priest Holmes 11 years.
Steve McMichael

The past doesn't dictate the future.
I would use a late round draft pick on Bijan regardless if he's a Longhorn or not. His talent isn't based on the school he plays for.
Bijan is a whole different beast. Running backs are still relevant in this passing(and running) league. Go look at the current rushing leaders in the top 10 are right now and me tell me how many are late round draft picks.
You forgot to mention the best kicker in the NFL in your Longhorn list.
Justin Tucker.

I'm impressed with your past Longhorn knowledge though.

You forgot Jamaal Charles.

But it is true that Longhorn prospects have underwhelmed in the pros going back to the Mack Brown days

The last Longhorn I really hyped was Lil Jordan Humphrey and I wasn't calling him a slept on first rounder.

Yikes...18 catches in 4 seasons.

I thought he might become a decent #3 WR but that's #6 WR numbers at best.

You guys are funny saying "I'd Be okay with Bijan in the late first!" hahaha.
He's going Top Ten! I don't care what we think of RB's undervalue, he has wideout hands.
He's the full package and better than Zeke who was drafted #4 overall.
Wouldn't draft RoJo though.

Casey Hampton
Leonard Davis
Michael Huff
Marquise Goodwin
Justin Tucker
Quandre Diggs
Colt McCoy

to name a few all had very good long careers.

Michael Dickson will be around a long time.

Btw to de-rate someone because of where they went to school is silly.
