Regarding Bledsoe and the 4th down play: "It's not a mistake, ok? He just didn't see him."

Regarding TT and his blocking: "Some blown assignments...Tyson Thompson."

Well, gee, can't it be that it wasn't a MISTAKE...Thompson just didn't see him?

Or did Drew blow it?

Parcells wants it both ways.

Rooks 'blow it' and vets 'just didn't see it'...ok, Bill.

The "it's not a mistake" portion, I believe, was referring to the called play, not Bledsoe not seeing Witten.

No, he was referring to Drew not seeing Witten.

And yet he has stated that Thompson would continue to see some playing time so Bill's double standard is not that much of a double standard

Didn’t he also say he doesn’t throw players under the bus...yet called out Thompson and Ware for mistakes.

And when vets screw up, what? 'Oh the vet screwed up because he was worried that the rookie was going to screw up.' Puh-leeeze.

I was referring to his double standard as it pertains to explaining screwups.

Who ever said a coach was fair? Jimmy had rules for some guys and different rules for other is that a double standard? Sorry this is not an office and Bill is trying to get these young guys to understand what is going on if this offends you well then too bad.

I think it's a bit apples to oranges.

Thompson missing a block is an assignment that he MUST pick up as that's what the play calls for. Bledsoe OTOH, has to make choices between who he's going to throw it to and has to do it in a snap amount of time.

Now, if the play called for Bledsoe to throw to Witten and Bledsoe didn't, then this would be comparable IMHO.

I wasn't saying he is fair. I am pointing out that he is UNFAIR and you just backed me up...so thanks. The big picture being who wants to work for a jerk? Having some guy who coddles certain players and throws other ones under the bus wouldn't make me want to go play for that team. Know what I mean?

Completing a pass is an assignment the QB MUST succeed at for the play to work. Picking up a blitz is no different than completing a pass. Both are expected to do what is necessary for a successful play.

He yelled at Barber on the sidelines after Marion failed to convert a 1st down, but I didn't see any yelling at Keyshawn for his penalty that cost a TD.

Rookies and young guys are always going to get more blame that vets. That is sports. We all know that every player out there and the coaches have to take on some of the blame.

Well now you feel better? And no one asked you to play for the Cowboys so don't worry about it. Most players who have played for Bill think highly of him so he must be doing somthing right but it is easy to see your feelings would get hurt so good thing you can't play

Exactly. Some people want to complain just for the sake of complaining.

You obviously misunderstood what he wrote. He was pointing out that a coach by nature, rarely acts in a fair manner. Jimmy Johnson openly brags of the double standard he had regarding star players. It's just the way it is. The players should be lacking any motivation, whether the coach is a jerk or not.

Not seeing someone on a quick drop when looking at opposite side of field is not a mistake

Missing your assigned block (your responsibility) is a mistake

For the money they get paid, i'll take that job and the coach can be a jerk and can curse me out and yell at me all he wants.

Thinking that Terrry Glenn is your best option on that play is a mistake. That is what Drew did before the snap of the ball. That is not a bash on Glenn. Rather a compliment to both Keyshawn and Witten as guys better suited to muscle into the endzone in that situation.

Plenty of guys made plenty of mistakes. Correct a single mistake out of they many to choose from and it may have resulted in Dallas winning a close game. Correct several of them and Dallas wins a little easier.

Sucks to lose. I still see some good things that I think can be improved. And they must be improved for any success this season.

Bledsoe's assignment as qb is to make the best decision as who to throw to and then make a good throw. He failed on both accounts. Bledsoe is a first round qb with the 'pedigree' and experience, Thompson is an udfa rookie. Now you see why Buffalo let him go.
