The pass rush

pass rush was good. I love that.

but run defense, again we gave up over 100 yards. 9 in the 4th. 21 in the 3rd.

and we are once again suspect to running QBs of which we will face a few this season. can't continue to give up that much rushing yards.

in a close game, the opponent won't be abandoning the rush so quickly.

2 sacks by Golston...
Think he lost one on a penalty, then got it back on the next play.
But he looked really good in the pass rush.
Parsons and DLaw we expect it from, but kudos to Fowler, Armstrong, Osa (and Golston), they were all amazing.
Fowler didn't get home, but he had 6 pressures and looked lightening fast, and Osa looked dominant.
Let's hope it continues.

Hate to be "that guy" but I think you're right. Just one team, someone we dominated constantly. A true test remains to be seen against the run.

That's all right with me. Get Mazi and Clarke and the rest of our young depth some more practice until the true tests begin.

I have faith they'll be fine against the run only because they put it together last year by the end. Don't think we'll see the same thing as last year with a few games of panic.

Keep in mind almost half the yards were from Daniel Jones scrambles. We have shut down several mobile QBs so not a problem.

The Giants OL is unbelievably bad. It's hard to believe Evan Neal would struggle this much as a pro.
Actually they did quite a bit this off season to shore up their oline, in fact the fans were beating their chest over it before the game.. Try again bro..

Pass block win rates for Giants vs Cowboys: (rate + ranking)

LT Andrew Thomas 88% (32nd)
RT Evan Neal 70.6% (59th)
LG Ben Bredeson 90.0% (32nd)
RG Mark Glowinski 75.8% (56th)
C JM Schmitz 90.3% (18th)

Neal was 59th out of 60 qualifying tackles in Week 1. Glowinski was 56th out of 58 qualifying guards. I went back and watched all seven sacks. You can comfortably say five were on the right side of the line.

Schmitz, meanwhile, was 18th of 29 qualifying centers.

Who in the world was worse than Neal?
