The pass to Crayton at the end won't get out of my mind

So frustrating. As poorly as the Cowboys played, one pass would've won it all for them. Romo makes a perfect throw and Crayton just comes up 2 yards short on it. If Crayton doesn't just stop on the route, it becomes another legendary Cowboys playoff victory, and another game winning drive by Romo.

But Crayton just stopped, and let the winning TD pass fall the ground. I hope that play doesn't stay in my mind for too long, but it is hard to forget.

Patrick Crayton is going to need to cure AIDS while winning the Super Bowl MVP for me to ever forgive him for QUITTING on his team like that.

What about the sure TD's dropped by Fasano? Or how about those crosing routes that Crayton and T.O dropped with no defenders in front of them - which would have gone for TDs also? Add in that last screw-up by Crayton and it's obvious we left 4 TDs on the filed where Romo delivered the pass perfectly, but the WRs did not deliver on their assignemts. I can excuse 1, maybe 2, dropped TDs; but 4? No! That's inexcusable WR play, and evidence that anyone blaming Romo for this loss is plain clueless and stupid!

Oh I agree that they left many TDs on the field. And I think Romo played well for the most part (played as well as you can with people slamming him into the ground every play). But that last incompletion is the easiest to remember just because it was so epic. Crayton makes that catch and they are into the NFC championship game on a last-minute TD drive. Oh, well; didn't work out that way.

I do agree. I can't get that play out of my mind either. And when I think of it, what I can't also get out of my mind is How Crayton shot his mouth off all year, especially when we lost to the Patriots and he proclaimed how we woulb beat them in the Super Bowl. Yeah, thanks Pattrick, you really helped get us there! I really can't stand talkers.

I have always stuck up for Crayton. Love his hands (till today, and despite a couple of drops over last couple of years that show pure concentration issues), but he still has great hands.

I don't know where his stupid mouth came from this year, but he should be banned from talking to media by Jerry and coaches.

He hurt us today, and maybe he isn't focussed when he's mouthing off thinking about what he said, what he needs to prove, or what he has to say next.

He isn't TO, and TO said a lot less inflamatory stuff this year.

Owens didn't drop it, Romo threw it way behind him and too high. Owens had no chance even to touch it.

Crayton going right into the endzone, almost stopped running the route. I was sitting in front of the TV in disbelief. If he had stayed on the route, it would have fallen right into his hands.

I know there were others, but I can still see this playing in my mind.

No you don't get it, Crayton QUIT, he QUIT. In the middle of the play he QUIT. in the playoffs Patrick Crayton simply gave up and QUIT. He talks crap all week and then when it comes to backing it up he QUIT. No one out there QUIT today but Crayton. Crayton could have won the game if he would not have QUIT, instead he decided to give up and QUIT!!!

I said it on several other threads, until Crayton issues a public apology to his teammates, coaches and all the fans, I do not want to see him in a Cowboys uniform whatever it takes. If that means, cutting him, trading him, or him getting injured before next season, does not matter to me. (I don't expect an apology though)

He seems like a punk to me, wouldn't bother me if he was gone. All his stupid trash talkin. I bet Jerry wishes he had a redo on that contract.

wrong guy running that route. Should have been Hurd. Crayton is too slow and short to have gotten it. Hurd had to have fresh legs...he didn't play much at all yesterday

Ive been saying all year what an overpaid suck a_ _ he is but everyone defends him like he is good. He is slow, talks to much and doesnt back it up. Carries the ball like a loaf of bread. Newman should have been returning punts, Crayton shouldnt have quit on that play.

You can have P Crayton and Ill give a 4th rounder for Randy Moss who at least is a quitter with talent..
