The passing of George Kennedy

Guy was in a load of movies as well as TV series, some pretty good ones to if memory serves correct, RIP

Always a favorite of mine. I'm old enough to appreciate him from way back in the day. RIP George.

My favorite role, Kennedy played, was Dragline in the movie Cool Hand Luke. I guess I just liked the movie but I thought Kennedy was good in it.

RIP George Harris Kennedy Jr.

We have about lost that generation of actors and they were the best IMO. The met didn't need all of these special effects to entertain us. He will be missed.

It was quite the generation of actors no doubt... Kennedy, Marvin, McQueen, Newman, Wayne, Bronson.

Even the character actors like Claude Akins was good.

All someone has to do is watch a month's worth of "Bonanza" and "Gunsmoke" and you'll see just an amazing list of character actors.

Fine actor in any role he played. There are some channels for us older guys where they have the old westerns.Grit tv has Dick Powels Zane Grey theater, Laramie, Wagon Train, The Virginian and Wanted Dead or Alive. Metv has Gunsmoke, The Rifleman and also Perry Mason and a lot more like Mash and Taxi.

Yeah he was great in lots of movies. Loved the original Flight Of The Phoenix too.

"Stay down. You're beat."

Enjoyed his Airport and of course Naked Gun movies. Figures that Nordberg is still kicking after Drebin and Hockin have passed on.
