The Patriots are "America's Choke" and the Giants are "America's Joke"!

Are there some sour grapes on my part behind this post? You bet there are, but please indulge me for a moment. :D

Personally, I think this game could not have turned out any better.

Hearing rumblings from the Patriots about how they were "Perfect" (LMAO) and the ""new America's Team" ( ) really was irritating and an off-base fallacy. Watching them celebrate their supposed victory (Especially the stupid antics of Randy Moss, Brushchi, and Junior Seau with two minutes to go) and then to see their faces two minutes later was just priceless. Watching Brady wear that "I'm mad because I just got kicked in the teeth" look on his face and seeing the sore loser Billecheat walk off the filed before the game officially ended was equally priceless.

And watching that court-jester, Eli Manning, get crowned king for catching every break in his "chuck and duck" performance to beat the Patsies was also a JOKE. While everyone says this will shape his development, I also agree but for different reasons. Everyone who says this will make him grow as a better QB will realize that all it will do is highlight how average of a QB he is when his stint in the NFL is all said and done. Aside from their front 7, the Giants are a JOKE and they showed that yesterday; all their win emphasizes is what more of a JOKE the Patriots were.

Indulge! :D

Give props to Manning, because he didn't go down on that last drive... he didn't make major mistakes under pressure, and played smart.

Considering all the criticism he takes, I was somewhat happy for him...

Did anyone catch the commercial on the NFL Network where the '72 Dolphins are on the lawn outside someone's house and a Giants Courier delivery truck pulls up and gives Mercury Morris a package from Eli saying something to the effect of, "here's your present...stay perfect?" That was classic.

Well...you can call the Giants a Joke all you want...but I would love to be have had the Cowboys be in, and win, this Superbowl even if some fan called us a joke because of the way we won it.

Only because the stone-handed Patriots DBs bailed him out. Asante Samuel and Brandon Meriweather each dropped an INT on the Giants final drive.

Thank you.

I know Americans_Fan is having a little fun at the Pats expense, but I guess the older I get the more mature I become. And I just don't take as much enjoyment in another team losing, even if I hate that team. It is what it is.

I'm not playing so I really don't have any impact on the outcome of the game. It is very hard to get to the Super Bowl, much less win it, which is why it may take years to get there. And then even more years to win one.

So I commend any team that gets there, even if that team "chokes" are the largest stage.

I'm not as sympathetic towards the Pats because they've won before - their coach and their quarterback. He still has three rings. And as much as people want to knock Brady, I would be surprised if he doesn't get to the Super Bowl at least three more times (and maybe more) before he retires.

Moreover, someone has to lose. It happened to be the Pats this time.

Life goes on.

Why would the Patriots hang their heads? They made it to The Final Two !!! That's like four times better than the Final Eight.

Hey let's get something straight Mister.:laugh2:

I LOVE the fact that the pats lost. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

I just think it is silly to say the Giants are a joke because of how they won the game. This is not a situation like the Steelers vs the Seahawks.

Oh, I'm glad they loss too. I think some think my understanding of why Goodell punished the Pats the way he did constitutes Patriots support.

I'm glad they didn't go undefeated because, in part, of Spygate and because I really don't like Belichick as a coach.

Besides, the Cowboys will be the next undefeated team AND win the Super Bowl. Book it. ;) :D

One winner, 31 losers. They should hang their heads because they were losers this year. Their 18-0 record was ultimately all for naught. Period.

Actually I wouldn't bet on Brady getting back to the SB 3 more times. The window to winning SBs closes at the strangest times. The Cowboys certainly didn't believe their time was over after the 95 SB win, but it was. The time will soon come for the window to close for the Patriots. Belicheat went all out to bring in the offensive firepower he needed and still it wasn't enough this time. He's now also got to regroup his defense, particularly his linebackers who have some age on them. Don't get me wrong, I still believe the Patriots will remain contenders but they will also be the focus of every team they play.

BTW: The Giants will now also be the focus of everyone they play. So their defense better remain on top cause the NFL's top QBs will be coming after them with Romo leading the way. The Giants have never shown the Cowboys any respect and then claimed we didn't respect them when we beat them twice in this season. And I expect to see a more dedicated & intense Cowboy team not only in the regular season but in the playoffs/SB. Losing in the first 06 playoff game against Seattle was one thing, but our 13-3 season left many fans really believing we should have gone to the SB this year. You better believe the Cowboy players and organization still feel that way and in spades. Hopefully not a single Cowboy player allows themselves to be distracted in any way toward the ultimate objective - to win the SB in February 09.

And it shows that regular season means absolutely nothing in the play-offs...
so they better come with some fierce intensity...

Exactly! And I did say in my post that aside for NY defense's great front-7 play, they are a joke. Heck, they're offense blows. They could only muster 14 points against an average-at-best secondary of New Englands'. Manning did not expose that, those chokes exposed themselves. And they dropped at least 3 sure INts in that last drive that Manning chucked into theeir hands. MVP must stand for most valuable putz!
