To be fair, the Cardinals did beat the Seahawks, and the Patriots did have the Cardinals beat. I don't mind a loss...but today was getting dominated in every facet.

The Cheatriots losing to the Cardinals is like the '78 Cowboys losing to the LA Rams.

The Cheatriots have a head coach who has been there for over a decade and they have an established culture. You know this was just a anomaly.

These 2012 Cowboys have a second-year head coach who, while making good speeches, is an unknown quantity on the field. And we've still got the same crappy culture regardless of skill players going back to 1997. This isn't an anomaly. It's standard fare, and what makes it worse is we had 10 days to prepare.

While I get the point of the OP, a quality team losing to someone they simply shouldn't lose to, this does have a bit of merit to it.

While the Patriots lost they certainly didn't look like they just packed it in after a rough start early on.

They had the game won at the end, their defense gave them the shot to win it, and their kicker screwed it up.

I'd have been a lot happier with the Cowboys had the game gone something like that then the way it did today against the Hawks.

Hmm I'm not seeing the connection. One team has a core that just made it to the Super Bowl last year, a HOF coach, and a HOF QB so they shouldn't have reason to panic because their team has the skins on the wall.

Oddly, I'm actually ok with this loss rather than if we had lost it like the Pats lost to the Cards. I think if we are firing on all cylinders, we soundly beat the Seahawks. If we had lost with us giving it our best vs their best, I would be concerned. Today was an off, completely weird, fluke game. Any Cowboys fan that watched it can tell you the whole thing just felt weird. Today's game was the kind coaches burn the tape to and move on, because so much weird stuff happened.

When Jason Witten is dropping as many passes as he did and Sean Lee is kissing tackles, you know it's just a bad day and a complete fluke.

It's not a true display of what this team is.

That's quite possible. We'll have to wait and see.

The season, and the world, isn't over for me simply because of a loss. Guess I'm just weird like that.

It's been unusual for the Cowboys to just lay over and get soundly beaten under Jason Garrett. We've pretty much been in every game the last two seasons, whether it was a loss or not.

The Cowboys getting thoroughly beaten like today hasn't really happened except for the two Philly games last season. Other than that, this team has always been there to at least compete in the final minutes.

That's why I chalk today up to being a fluke.
