Pats cut pick… New England’s already very thin 2007 draft class got a little thinner when the unbeaten Patriots released DT Kareem Brown, the team’s 4th-round pick at this past April’s draft. Brown was just one of two of the Patriots’ 9 picks from the past draft still on the roster. Brown was inactive for each of New England’s first 11 games this year, but is likely to be re-signed to the practice squad.

Still interesting how they have switched gears and attacked the FA market.

I don't see any sarcasm in your statement at all. Having only 1 out of 9 draft picks remaining on your active roster is atrocious and a very clear indication of poor drafting. That's exactly why they had to change their approach and be very aggressive in the free agent market. They realized that they only have a handful of seasons left with Brady at the helm and an aging defense. In my opinion, they only have about 2 years left after this one because of aging defensive players, free agent defections, and poor drafting. And that's only if Randy Moss resigns in the offseason. If they don't resign him, then the Patriots will struggle to get back to the AFC Championship game let alone the Superbowl.

Their 53 man is so stocked its real tough for draft picks to make team. Their draft record in Pioli era is stellar

Any analysis of last year's Pats draft has to be tempered with the understanding that they gave up a no 1 to get this year's No1 for the 49ers. Which will probably be a top 5 pick. Just the thought of the Pats adding McFadden along with Moss and Brady is scary stuff.
Although I do agree that their defense is getting old and it did not scare me when we played them and I do not worry about it during the rematch.l
