The Pet Cat Thread

Donta Paige-Moss and Juron Criner. I think Moss is a late round roll the dice kind of steal you can make. I do not understand at all why Criner is not top 5 at WR. He is big, fast, and has great hands. I also really like Ryan Broyles, whom I would take a chance on.

I read somewhere that his perceived lack of effort is just about the only thing holding him back right now.

I'd have to find it but pretty sure it was talking about him.

The games that I watched him, he played all out. The Georgia and Virginia Tech games to open the last two years, he was a real horse.

Brandon Weeden in the 4th is my pet cat.

He, IMO would follow the "value" montra of the Cowboys latest draft trends. He could be our back up and adds the deep ball and can strech the field to utilize Miles and Dez's speed and great ball tracking ability.

But he will be a 29 year old rookie? yes. It's a gamble, I would not argue that, is he Chris Weinke or is he Kurt Warner (he was 29 when he Started his first game)? I do not know, but he has great maturity and the position of QB for America's Teams needs a ton of it. He could possibly play till he's 38 IMO.

I believe a younger QB (21 - 24 years old) prospect for the near future will have a big problem, not in adjusting to the NFL skill level but to the huge circus stage that is the Dallas media and the Cowboys stage.

I just can't come around on Weedon. Would all these other QB's show as well as he had if they were 28 instead of 24? It's possible.

Someone will probably get a steal in him, but he wouldn't even be coming in here tight an opportunity to play early.

James Michael Johnson, ILB from Nevada. From what I've seen of him so far, I've been impressed. If we can get him in the 5th round, I'd go for it

Pretty disappointed so far in this draft, I don't have any pet cats yet.

Mine was Mo Claiborne way before he was the #1 CB on the board.

I really don't have anyone right now. Im not in love with this draft and I think we'll look back on it in a few years and see that there just wasn't much quality in it.

Kelleen Moore QB, MArkelle Martin S

May I ask you why you like Kellen Moore? He is undersized, can't drive the ball to the outside and would get killed behind this line. He makes no sense in a vertical passing offense like ours will become.

BJ Coleman - QB, Chattanooga

6'5" 220 lbs. Saw him play some this year, only because I'm a Chatt alum. The team isn't that great, and the competition isn't top notch, but this kid can play. Great arm, great athlete. Moving up after a strong East-West Shrine game. Last I saw he was projected to go around the 4th round. Like to see us get him in the 4-5 round range.

Definitely like this kid too. He got recruited to Tennessee but the timing just wasnt right and he ended up transfering. But the talent is there for sure. Great size and real big arm. Kinda sucks that he shot up the boards so much, think it may have taken us out of the running.

I've seen quite a few draft gurus that think he'll go undrafted.

Even funnier, a Commanders fan told me yesterday he is hoping they use their first round pick on Kellen Moore. Told me Griffin will be a bust, and Moore was as good as Luck. I told him I hope they draft Kellen 6th overall as well! lol

I loved the way he played at the Shrine game. Very talented thrower who just needs to eliminate some of the ground balls and clean up his footwork to really emerge as a top QB in this draft. He has a bunch of upside to him.

I think he will go in the 6-7th round, but it wouldnt shock me if he isn't drafted. Greg McElroy was a much better late round QB than what Moore will be.

Good to know someone's in the same boat as me. Watching the Senior Bowl was an eye opener. There weren't any top notch prospects or anyone that really stood out. Was very disappointed. This draft has a few elite prospects but very little depth.

Funny, most have been saying exactly the opposite. That depth was the strength of this draft.

As far as top notch prospects, rarely does the Senior Bowl have the top notch guys, because usually they are declaring early or otherwise ineligible to play. The Senior Bowl is much more about borderline guys building momentum going into the combine, and several players did that.

Every year multiple first rounders play in the game that go onto make immediate impacts, I don't see why this year would be any different even if they aren't Top 10 picks.

Especially at cb. There are a ton of good cbs in this years draft.
