Let me preface by saying that I am NOT an Eagles fan, only a die-hard, 40 year Cowboy fan. But, I thought someone might find this moderately interesting - or at least as funny as I did.
The Philadelphia Eagles: Choke artists or champs?

I am a true Philadelphia Eagles fan, one that will stay with them until I die. These guys go out and play hard every given Sunday from September until the playoffs in January and the Super Bowl in February, like the 31 other teams in the National Football League. But some of the students at Eastern hate the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are our hometown team, yet some despise them. It's a shame.
The New York Giants, the Cincinnati Bengals, the New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys are just some of the team names I hear Eastern students scream at their televisions. These students actually cheer against the hometown Philadelphia Eagles.
First-year Dan Sharbaugh says, "The Eagles are a bunch of choke artists. Look at the previous Super Bowl (XXXIX) and see what happened to the Eagles." (The New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21.)
But students like Aaron Mushrush and Curtis Dehmey, who are avid Eagles fans, say, "We'll be back in the Super Bowl," and "Eagles are the best."
During a game this season in which the Eagles won, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 42-3 on Sept. 18, I could not hear a word from the Eagles haters. But as soon as the Eagles lost a game like the loss to the Dallas Cowboys 33-10 on October 9, all I could hear from the haters was "Eagles suck," and "They're not going anywhere this year."
The Eagles had good competition thus far with opponents like the Atlanta Falcons and the Kansas City Chiefs, and it's only going to get tougher with opponents like the San Diego Chargers and the New York Giants.
You cannot say that the Eagles suck because if they did, they would not have won a game yet. The Eagles cannot win every game; nobody can. But so far, Donovan McNabb has thrown for 1723 yards and nine touchdowns, so hope is still very much alive.
And from this Eagles fan to you, I still say "Go Eagles, E-A-G-L-E-S!!! Cheer hard for your Philadelphia Eagles."
