The plan worked -- DE, CB

To all of you who were whining about passing on King for Charlton, this is why you don't just blindly draft the "vertical" BPA, but you compare that to the "horizontal" -- depth at other positions. If we had drafted King, we would have been left with guys like Willis, Smoot, Daeshon Hall, and Rivers as DE. None of them (except maybe Hall) are true DEs or great upside NFL pass rushers. Instead, we knew the draft was deep at CB, so we played the "horizontal" board, and drafted the last, best pure three-down, pass-rushing 4-3 DE. And were rewarded with two CB's who had first/second round grades from many draft evaluators. Well done, Will McClay. And eat some crow, BPA guys.

I'll be honest, if I had known that we could have King, Willis and another pick instead of what we got, I'd take it. But hindsight being what it is, I won't dwell on it.

I'm best player available and believe we took best available. I had Taco ahead of King

Reasonable minds can differ, but it is not even close for me. According to McShay, Lewis was the best pure cover corner in this draft. And Cheeto was a first rounder on many boards. There are holes in Taco's game, but his upside is far greater than Willis. Willis may have agility measurables, but short arms and his tape does not show that athleticism. Im ecstatic.
