Exactly,Dallas allowed the Skins to convert 46%(7/15) of their 3rd downs.I believe 5 of their conversions were from 3rd and 5 or longer.

How do you figure that our Defense that gives up 3rd and long consistently will help us out come January.....much less december when we face our toughest schedule.....

This was a horrific offensive team missing most of their Oline, best playmaker in Cooley and their top two RBs. And still Campbell at one point had completed something like 10 of 10 on third down, and we made Cartwright look like Adrian Peterson.

I was much more impressed with them last week, but they should have completely shut down this team and the reality is they were two missed FGs from losing the game.

Not saying the offensive wasn't pathetic too, but if this team is going to rely on the defense to win they need to shut down a terrible offensive team like the Skins.

I agree. The Packers got a gift wrapped touchdown last week thanks to the refs, but our defense is playing at a very high level not allowing many points. They shutout the Eagles, too. If only our offense could hold serve, we would be so much better right now.

Well, they had to have stopped a few today to only give up six points. And even if you count the two missed field goals, that's still only 12.

Yeah, this continues to be a mind boggling problem. I actaully feel safer when its 3rd 3 than I do 3rd & 10+. Wade needs to change his philosophy on how to approach that down. If the defense can solve this problem then it will be a truly powerful unit.

Sarcasm? They stop everything but the big, gashing pass plays on 3rd & 10+. I'd still like to see the stats on that over the last 26 games, and how they compare with the rest of the league.

I'm not criticizing per se, but I don't think this should be called out as an outstanding defensive performance either. The Skins were a terrible offensive team before they lost Cooley, Portis and had to put their 3rd string Oline in. KC and St Louis held them to less yards then we did.

i dont really count the 2nd TD against GB, cause it should have been our ball, but the refs screwed up......and GB had huge momentum after the blown call.

they held the Eagles to 16, Packers to 10, and the Skins out of the end zone........our D has done very well ever since the Giants game about keeping the opposition out of the end zone for the most part.

We msot definitely improve on 3rd and long. All season long we've been good on third and long...now we seem to have some things to work on.

But this defense is playing great no doubt. However we are playing defensive football right now, so we're doing what we can do help the D out.
