I want to point out the game that Holloman had and Claiborne did great and I feel like he is turning the corner. Holloman may end up being the solution for B Carter whom I am seriously worried about be a productive member of this team.

Get healthy, draft DL and try again. It appears we are on track for another 8-8 next season. But, let's hope JG proves us wrong.

Time to focus on the draft and the salary cap mess.

I liked seeing Holloman make all those tackles. There was some poor plays from him, but for a rookie, I thought he looked pretty good.

Was surprised to see Mo have a decent game too

The positive about last season is that it made OL without a doubt a need to fix. This season, DL is such a glaring need that even JJ has to see it. Just hope he doesn't break the bank signing Hatcher. We need more than one DL DE

Also, it was nice seeing someone throwing the ball to Dez with some serious zip. Romo fan but the man has a very average NFL arm.

That's because Mo was asked to play man not zone. He's weak in zone coverage. Something Kiffin didn't understand all year that this team is a better man team; not zone.

Nothing positive about anything this year. The team has not gotten any better in the last 3 years. No players have made a diff, no coaches had made a diff. Nothing has changed and nothing ever will.

I disagree. Frederick has solidified the center of the Oline for years to come. A new quarterback last night and not one miscue from Frederick. Even Free had a better year, and I have to think Frederick had something to do with that also. I don't know if Leary is the long term answer at LG, but two new guards would surely be a plus for this team.

On the other hand, the DL is a shambles. Ware is getting beat up at DE, as his injuries are getting more frequent. Unfortunately, Wilber is not going to be Ware's replacement. Spencer needs to go. He's not going to be any better than Ware.

You have to like Williams at WR, and where has Escobar been all year?

Fix the linebacker core and the DL, and optimism will return. The current defensive players that are hurt and not playing need to take their crutches and bandages to another team.

You know that looks all nice, but again 8-8. and thats all you have to say, could care less about injuries, at the end of the year did you make the playoffs? did your record improve? We are in the same state we were 3 years ago. Heck same ending as 3 years ago. Core of this team is getting very old. QB will be 34 coming off 2 back surgeries, Wares body is falling apart. We have a fantastic ML that cant stay on the field. O yea by the way we are in cap hell.

I could really see this team falling apart next year. I mean going 4-12. Untill they fix the cap problems this team will be a disaster every year O yea and JG will still be head coach

If only more of them were on target. Badum-bump.

Maybe it's his high release point but a lot of his passes also seem to have a downward direction. If Orton were a pitcher he'd walk a lot of guys.

Positives:

Murray breaking 1k.
Witten scoring TDs again
OL playing well as a unit (Smith/Beard!!!!)
Romo 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio
Selvie and Hatcher playing well
We get a healthy Crawford and Bass back next season
Scandrick put together a solid season
Mo showed he has some game last night
Special teams (Harris, Bailey)
Dez with another solid season
Ware being open to a cut in pay

Negatives:

Carter fell off a cliff this year
JG and his lack of game management skills and his lack of desire to run the football
Hatcher & Spencer probably walk
Horrible safety play
Not much at linebacker after Lee, who needs to find a way to stay healthy
Ware and his injuries
Miles Austin stinks

Agree with many of the positives listed above. I'll add…

_we were 5th overall in points scored (439) and just 6 points from 2nd overall. Up from 15th overall with 376 in 2012.

_we were 3rd overall in red zone efficiency at 69%. We were 20th in 2012 at just 51%.

_our scoring improvement was in spite of being dead last in number of plays from scrimmage by almost 70 plays. Went from 1,049 in 2012 to 957 in 2013. It's also in spite of producing slightly worse in average yards per play.

_we were tied for 9th in takeaways with +8. We were -13 in 2012. Considering Mo and Carr seem ill-suited for zone and Wilcox and Heath were learning on the job, it's promising.

_George Selvie was just a great pick-up. Really saved our bacon.

_all the injuries meant extended looks and work for guys who will provide legit depth in 2014, assuming we don't get crushed by injuries again. Selvie, Hayden, and Nevis should provide a competitive camp if we also add some starters via the draft.
