The problem with Jason Garrett's offense again

He does not know how to run the football correctly. I know we made an effort in the first half but In the second half everything was Shotgun Pass on 1st down and shotgun on 2nd which is usually a draw(WOW YOU FOOLED EVERYONE JG). I was watching the game with 20-30 other people and the funny thing is everyone called the draw on 2nd down twice in the 3rd quarter with about 5 minutes left. If we are calling it FROM THE BAR do you think the defense is calling it? It's a joke. I have never seen so many draw plays in my life. Once again, we gain some nice yards on some of them but WE ARE NOT MOVING PILES FORWARD, WE ARE NOT MOVING DEFENSES BACKWARDS. This is not good. To sell draw... you sell pass which means the offensive line is DROP STEPPING instead of firing off the ball forward. This is the major problem with our offense. 99 yards with Barber equaled 0 points. We can't continue to run the ball on delays and draws, it's sickening to watch. WHEN YOU RUN IT, RUN THE DAMN BALL INSIDE OR OFF TACKLE! You little red-headed princeton fa***. RUN THE DAMN BALL and stop the BS. Watching this offense makes me sick. Can I see a run on 1st down please? We were down 3-0 with the whole second half to go and all I saw was shotgun pass on first down and shotgun draw on second. What a genius. I'll take the win..a win is a win but please stop calling draw. PLEASE.

This team made a concerted effort to run the ball today.

It CAN NOT sustain long drives.

It just can't.

Penalties on the offensive line keep it from happening.

Did you watch the second half? Jason panicked went shotgun down 3-0 on every play just like last week against Greenbay. The offense is totally predictable. He did run, he ran draw, draw, draw.

I agree with the overuse of the shotgun.

I just don't think this offense is capable of double-digit play/successful drives.

We are not capable of controlling the game or clock with this "style" of offense or play calling but we have the personnel to do it. JG is really bad.

Those 99 rush yards translate into field position and time of possession, which means that--if there's a tired defense at the end of the game, it's not yours.

Careful the "win is a win" crowd is going to show up in this thread soon. JG's problem is that he is too stubborn, predictable and actually called a game plan based on media criticism. You can't pass on every down, but you can't run it all the time either. You have to mix it up effectively. One of the best ways to do that is to run some screens to loosen up the defense, making you less predictable and making the entire playbook available. Garrett just won't do it.

He made an effort to run it today in the first half but did you see the second half? We were down 3-0 and he ran the offense like we were down 21-0. He is panicky and when he does run it is usually a draw. The draw picked up some yards but it does not establish control on the line of scrimmage. I can't stand to watch it.

No team can run the all into the end zone without interspersing a pass of two. Garrett doesn't mix the game plan. He can't adjust, nor can he mix things up to get some balance.

We won the field position battle in the first half, and we won time of possession for the first half and the whole game.
