is Jerry Jones. (Not a newsflash)

And for that reason, nothing is ever, ever going to change.

Other teams go through periods like this...then they fire their coach, draft new players and get back on track.

That's not going to happen with the Cowboys because every move in this organization is orchestrated by Jerry for the sole purpose of calling attention to Jerry. We've all heard it said that there's no such thing as bad publicity. Jerry gets attention whether the Cowboys are doing well or not. That's all he cares about. And making money (which he will do with or without our support).

I see no future for the Dallas Cowboys as long as Jerry is the owner of this team.

I won't quit on them. I can't (I've tried). But that's the reality of it, like it or not.

The problem with this team are fans like me who pay top-dollar to go to the games to see a bad product. Until Jerry takes a hit in the pocket, he'll have no reason to change, he thinks that if people are paying, they must be happy.

I agree with you, but that will just allow fans of the opposition to buy a ticket for your seat and then Jerry makes money anyway. I don't really know exactly how we can hit him in the pocket due to the way the NFL revenue sharing policy is structured. He makes money even when someone buys a New Orleans Saints t-shirt here. What can we do?

Man, the opposition is already buying tickets like you wouldn't believe. I've seen a game in 17 NFL stadiums, and I've never seen a stadium filled with opposing fans like I see AT&T Stadium filled every week.

Edit: I take that back, Buffalo @ Arizona was nothing but Bills fans.

That maybe be true, but what would Jerry think if there were only say 50,000 fans and not 80 +

Thats because AT&T stadium Is more Disneyland than NFL stadium.

Understand that man. It's a sickness I tell ya..

It really, really is. Oh, the stories I could tell. I think my hubby is ready to ship me off to a mental institution at times (he's not a Cowboys fan; wouldn't understand).

Stop buying, stop going, paper bags, boo/yell at Jerry, or whatever are the only things that'll get Jerry's attention. Not like those things will do anything though.

It's just the history of the team for me. Been at this far too long. Been far too close to the team. For those of us who have witnessed the 70's, "some" 80s hehe, and 90's teams. That is what we are striving for again. And , to see, year in and year out , this debacle of an FO and the lack of talent, guidance, emotion, what have you, in this team now is saddening..

But, we can't let it go. We keep waiting for that light.. That light that gets a broken bulb because Ol' Skeletor smashes it into pieces.

Yep, I'm one of those old-timers (hee hee). You hit it out of the park with this post.

It pains me to do this, but at the same time there's a lot of truth....
