This is an all-positive thread. Nay sayers, chicken littles, and Roy haters need not apply.

Just post the thing you are most excited about this weekend, your score prediction, what you want to see happen, favorite memories from the season, anything. Just kind of a "pump you up" thread to get us all back in a positive, excited flow for the first playoff game in Texas Stadium in far too long. Hey guys, we were the kings of the NFC in the regular season and we have a real, true shot at the Super Bowl this year! It's a great time to be a Cowboy, so let's hear it!

Haven't you been seeing all the talking heads on all the networks who have been talking about the Cowboys having no chance against Eli and the surging Giants?

We have no chance on Sunday, and then our QB and his starlet girlfriend, hustle off for a weekend romp, taking along part of our team. They should have been at home practicing, and studying hteir gameplans.

The season is over!

I'm with you, EnR... Precious little talk about the actual football game coming up. So far, it's all Jessica, T.O.'s ankle, Gibbs retiring, etc.

I guess part of that is that the Giants are kind of a boring, familiar opponent, but still. We're hosting our first playoff game in forever. Where's the excitement? Where's the discussion about the actual game?

Anyway, I'd think the media would have learned from the Skins loss that the "hot" team with "momentun" doesn't really have an advantage when they're an inferior team on the road. Guess we'll have to remind them on Sunday. I truly think that our healthy team and our crowd are going to be in a manic frenzy and we're going to show everyone what's what on Sunday.

Favorite Moment of the season would have to be Folk's game winner.

What I'm looking forward to is to see Terry Glenn come back it what could be the final games of his career.

I'm right there with you! This weekend the Gints are going to run into a locomotive that doesn't stop. I laugh at all of these people (media and the like) criticizing Wade for giving his team a week off... They earned it! I just recently finished a minor league football season that ended with our team at 8-2 and receiving a first round bye. Sure, we don't get paid the big bucks. As a matter of fact, most of us don't get paid at all. However, we all did our own thing during that week off and came back the next week practicing crisply. We ended up winning three playoff games (all on the road) and making it to the semi-finals where we lost to the Dallas Diesel. At least I got a free trip to Dallas out of it. :) No one expected us to get that far. We didn't lose a beat from the end of season run we made (winning 6 in a row) to the postseason following our very relaxed bye week. So.. long story short, please trust me when I stroll out on that limb and say the Boys will be good & ready come Sunday. ;)

okay, cool, these last few responses give my thread some hope.. the first few had me worried..

i'm with ya eric, i'm really looking forward to seeing Terry Glenn come back.. and i think that the Boys are gonna have a renewed excitement and freshness to them.. i fully expect them to play like the team that we saw the first 12 weeks of the season and not the team we saw the last 4 weeks of the season.. having everyone healthy and on the field will be huge..

i expect a close first half, then we'll make some adjustments and come out and put a licking on them the second half.. my prediction is Cowboys 34-20..

oh, and i'm looking for a big game by Roy.. call it a gut feeling.. but with him making the Pro Bowl, then coming out and saying he's switching back to #38 next year, and then saying he's gonna be #21 for the Pro Bowl.. i think something has lit a fire underneath him.. and Shockey's out, and we finally have Newman and Henry healthy, so Wade might FINALLY get to use Roy the way he has wanted to all along- near the LOS and kinda turn him loose..

When I see #81 at full speed, I will be excited.

Until then, I shall be nervous.

It is nice you look forward to it.

I certainly hope you don't expect big results.

I expect bigger results from #81. If #83 gets some shots in it would just be icing on the cake. There's no way #81 misses this game. Just fyi, when I heard he was a "game time decision" I smirked and said that's Wade & the crew holding their cards close to their collective vests.

understandable.. but i fully believe he'll be fine.. i mean, Crayton and Witten said he looked good on Monday.. and he's got a whole week ahead of him to heal in that special chamber.. :D i think that Bleu Star is right, they are just wanting to give the Giants something to think about.. my bet is TO will be fine..

34-20, write it down.. (it just sounds cool when you say write it down.. if i'm totally off base, everyone will forget my prediction.. but if i'm right, i can come back later and say "i told you so!" and feel really cool about it.. and, i mean, who doesn't want to do that?)
