The vast majority of college bars are 18 to get in and 21 to drink.

College bars cater to plenty of 18,19,20 year olds. They exclude them then they don't stay open long.

Underage drinking isn't rare at all... but bathroom rapists thankfully are pretty rare. Most guys go for getting them hammered and then at least taking them home before trying to have their way with them.

What use is a bar if there is no drinking? Seems like a recipe for disaster for the bar owner.

True re that, we at least feign interest in knowing more than their first name even though we don't care ;)

As an aside, why do so many states still have a 21 year old legal drinking age?

Most of these college bars charge like 20 bucks to get in. Depending on the place, you could fit as much as 500 people in there, especially if it's in the city. Think about it.

The prohibitionist impulse. I think Federal Highway funds were tied to states setting a drinking age of 21. IIRC, around '84 they switched the age limit here in Texas. There were many last chance parties.....

Never seemed right to me. If you can join the military, you should be able to get a drink.

I'm not talking about the hick dump you go to to cruise for barely legal, trailer-trash.

Yeah.

You're just pissed that they taxed you for your looks.
