• The NAACP's national president, Dennis Courtland Hayes, showed why he's the national president and R.L. White is the Atlanta president. A day after White exhorted society to embrace Michael Vick's return to the NFL because he's a very exciting player, Hayes countered.
"He absolutely must account for what he has done," Hayes said, adding that "there is a reason to believe in his redemption."
Reason to believe, we can see his point. Sounds like redemption will be a media class where he learns to say the right things and bow his head at the right times, but everybody deserves a chance.
Just don't ask any of us to be active participants.
