Nobody wants to talk about it. The Achilles heel of the Dallas Cowboys is the secondary (if you don't count Jerry Jones). I wonder what it's like to be DeMarcus Ware and have a group of DBs behind you that can't catch a cold, literally. If there's a more interception starved team I'd like to see them. Don't tell me about Oakland, they just murdered Denver.

...a more pressing concern is turnovers, penalties and not-so-special teams.../;)

You're trying to be a smart aleck, but one breeds the other. If this team could produce a normal amount of turnovers, they'd be doing okay, IMO. When you have all the penalties and gaffes we're known for, to be a team that can't get a single turnover no matter what they do is damning. And to be specific, I'm talking about interceptions. Look up our total amount in the last 3 years. That is on the secondary and their coach.

It's not the Corners as much as the Safties and all the Penalties are just devestating, but the last time Dallas was really good in the Trenches, even Jerry Jones won 3 SBs.

Bingo! Our secondary sucks. The Commanders had 4 INTs today off jay "turnover" Cutler. How many did we have against him? zero. The Packers had 3 off Brett "all-time INT leader" Favre. How many did we get? zero

I think it is our ILBs......that is the easiest way to gameplan the Cowboys...attack the ILBs....and there is nothing we can do about it. Now you are right also about the safeties...we try to use them to cover up the inability of the ILBs to cover....but then they gets our entire defense moving and out of synch...leaves gaping holes.

they play the way they are coached to play...when you play incredibly soft zones and the whole idea is just to keep everything in front of you, turnovers will be hard to get...our safeties and ILB's are probably the worst in the league at getting into passing lanes...

the holes back there to throw into are huge...if the pas rush doesnt get there or the QB doesnt blow it with a bad throw, its easy pickins

I have the NFL Sunday Ticket and it honestly seemed that every time I turned to another game someone was getting an interception. And to think Deangelo Hall has two more interceptions in one game than our entire team in five games! How bad is that? And we've played Cutler, Favre and Vince Young!

If we didn't make mistakes, we could win a Super Bowl or two with this secondary.

Penalties and magic turnovers are killing us, not the secondary. We have the #4 passing defense in the entire league.

this.

Several units are falling just a little short. If any one of them would take even a half step forward, this team would have more wins than losses.
