It's coaching and it'll be corrected because Parcells is a great coach. We got out coached by Washington. Which doesn't suck because Joe Gibbs is a hall of famer. They did get lucky on offense. But we made some mistakes coaching wise. Here were the major two.
It was a break down in coaching that we had zone coverage on the fastest WR they had and loose zone coverage. We really didn't send enough of a blitz on the plays on those 2 long balls. I bet the next time we see a 4th down and long at the end of the game you see Roy Williams at the line not covering team. Roy Williams shouldn't be the closest DB against the other teams best WR. Nor should most safeties in the league. No unless they are in front of the WR ready to dish out the hit.
On the offense we were game planned for a blitz. What Washington did instead was just set back let our recievers catch the ball then tackle our recievers. And against the run game they went right towards the RB when they recognised run. That's why we averaged 2.9 ypc on the ground. And we couldn't get any passing game going consistantly. The flee flicker worked becuase the Washington D was sunk in enough for it to work. And one other play to Glenn worked also. Outside of that our Recievers had no YAC.
This is just 1 loss we'll have atleast 5 more this year maybe more. The season's not over folks. We'll be fine because. Next time we see a 4th down an long in a situation like we had you'll see Roy at the line not in deep coverage. There's simply not reason for him to be in that situation.
