If any of you were listening to Galloway today, his sidekick (i forget his name) asked him......."Hey, weren't you going to tell the Palmeiro story today"? Galloway said..."Which one"? Sidekick said........"The one that relates to Miguel Tejada".............Galloway said.........."No, there could be kids listening..............

Here's the story for those of you who care............

I know someone who knows Galloway pretty well and they hang out together quite a bit, and my buddy knows the story, and its a whopper......

When Palmeiro was an Oriole, he and Tejada were very good freinds for quite some time. Then one day Tejada finds out that Palmeiro slept with his wife. Tejada didnt' let on to Palmeiro that he found out.

Later in the week, as was custom, Tejada gave Palmeiro his regular "B-12 shot". Except this time it wasn't B12. It was a common variety steroid. A week goes by and Palmeiro gets tested, and BAM. Down comes the hammer from MLB.

If you remember, Palmeiro denied using steroids, and said the only thing he's ever done was had Tejada give him B12 shots. Also, if you remember, the steroid he was caught using, was the most common variety steroid known to man, and even all the reporters were asking publically why Raffy would have used that one when it was so damn detectable. I'm sure at some point it hit Palmeiro what happened, but he couldn't just hold a press conference telling the world that I slept with Tejada's wife, and Tejada shot me up with the Juice. If he had, his wife woudl have taken him for everything he had. He was screwed.

If you think about it, it was Genius on Tejada's part. Sure he could have just went up to Palmeiro and punched him, but by doing this he....

Publically humiliated Raffy
Probably won't go to the HOF
Never got another MLB job
Won't ever work for ESPN

Basically ruined the rest of his life in terms of Baseball.

A word to the wise..............don't ever PO Miguel Tejada.

Now you know the story.............and know you know why Galloway wouldn't go on air with it.

I don't know what happened to the wife. I'm seeing my buddy tomorrow for some paintball action, I'll ask him then if he knows.

Oh, and that story was verified by a Texas Ranger (I'm withholding the name), who happened to be at Galloways house with my buddy when Galloway told the story. This Ranger was laughing about it saying that other players have heard the story and as he put it....."is well known in MLB circles".

I told you it was a whopper........

BS.

Palmeiro was inquiring about hormones and steroids as far back as his Cubs days.

He did tell the truth to congress though. He was never on 'roids, he was one of the first HGH devotees. He only turned to a relatively obscure steroid after his hormone source dried up.

Wrong. I have no doubt Raffy was always on Steroids. He was just on the designer ones that were undetectable.

He got what he deserved in the end if you ask me. Just cause he was able to hide it for years, doesn't mean he wasn't guilty.

But thanks for your input.

If true, (sounds very questionable to me) then Raffy deserved what he got. Considering Raffy was always my favorite Ranger for a very long time. It would just make me hate him more.

Screw Raffy, guy pulled a two-faced act in his final year in Texas when he refused two trades, slapped the Rangers in the face in his first press conference in Baltimore (Saying he'll go in the HOF as an Oriole) then when he's busted his first reaction is to throw a teammate under the bus.

I still think he did it knowingly, but wouldn't surprise me if Tejada really did stick it to him...literally

Except that people who were named in the report are admitting they used.

I bumped this because Raffy just gave an interview (his first one I believe), about the steroids. He hinted around at the story I told about a teammate shooting him up and being "set up"....

Anyway, I thought it was interesting. Here's the video if anyone cares.
