All are now overpaid due to their playing time or production. All are still good to very good players. All are to receive large roster bonuses on March 1st.

Last year the first day of the league year was March 1st and the first day to sign/trade players was March 2nd.

If this is the case again we would have to pay those bonuses and take an immediate cap hit to trade them or hope that they would defer the bonuses until we could get some compensation for them. I personally can't see either of those scenarios playing out. Why would a team give picks for a player soon to be available anyway?

Face it they are all going to be cut and we are not going to recieve any compensation for any of them!!!

If my facts are wrong and I hope they are, please let me know. If they are right can we please stop talking about collecting draft picks that are never going to come. I've already seen too many threads where we are going to get picks in return for Ellis and/or Glover and even Allen. They have all been good players that have served us all well. Good luck to them all and lets move on!

How many draft picks did we get for Coakley?

Glover is the only one with a bonus due on the first day of the league year. Ellis' bonus comes on the 15th day, and Allen's isn't due until April 1.

You never know what another team is going to do. Look at Miami--they traded high picks for AJ Feely and Lamar Gordon.

I think there's a good chance we get something for Glover and/or Ellis

Thanks, that is good news. Unfortunately we still probably won't get anything in return.

If you cut Allen, you could probably get a couple of starting quality guards for his salary.
