It is so easy to criticise but is tony romo really to blame or Garrett yes it is partly their fault but look at us we arnt good enough as a team the glory days are over but still every year half of Dallas says "we're better than ever this year" and "this could be our year" every year its the same yes something needs to change but I don't think its the fact we are getting worse I think most teams are getting better

Dallas is a .500 team and has been for 17 years. The glory days ended in 1996.

Nothing will change next year. Not as long as JJ is in charge.

Jerry Jones will once again believe we're a player away from being a Super Bowl contender.

He's going to give up multiple draft picks for a single player again.

Rinse, repeat.

Yep alot people can't face the fact we are not a super bowl team

Correction ... we are not a playoff team.

The reality is that the defense was decimated by injury for pretty much half the season, the O-line was patchwork at best and we were still in position to win the division on the last day.

So lemme guess, you're happy about the way our season ended???

At 8-8. If there was a really good team in the NFC East, we would have been out of it months ago.

No its not all on Romo, but last night with his 3 picks it was. Especially the last one that killed our season. No way to make any excuse for that.

Garrett is a big part of the problem.

OLine Sux.

DLine isnt as bad as OLine I guess, but not a big help.

All things considered: Red is our biggest weakness. In this league of parity coaching is what makes the difference. Look at what Shanahan has done this year with a rookie QB and rookie RB. Thats just one example, but coaching is what separates the good teams form the rest in this league. You still have to have talented players, but coaching is the difference. And the Cowboys have enough talent to be competitive. We just dont have the coaching.

Jerry keeps hanging his hat on the 9-7 Giants winning a Super Bowl. He thinks as long as we are mediocre, we have a shot. It is sad really.

Yeah, why work hard for 13-3 when you can take the easy way out? Let me tell you, living in CT I get plenty of Giants news and their fans are none too happy about the way this season ended. They have short memories about last years Super Bowl win. That's the mentality you need. Not one that says 9-7 is good enough.

:lmao2: yeah the NFC East was a burstin with good football.

The reality is that we're the San Diego Chargers of the NFC East.

Great talent, worthy of multiple championships, but handicapped by erratic quarterback and head coaching perfomances.

8-8 and right on schedule ... only enough to keep you interested for another year. Buy those tickets Cowboys fans.

That last one was totally ridiculous and inexcusable. It did not kill our season, however. The D had them stopped and they had to kick a field goal. We would have been down by 6 with over 2 minutes and our timeouts left. But....Hatcher hit RGIII in the head - killing our season.

Next year will be 18 years since the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl.

That's the longest stretch ever.

And I thought 77 to 92 was a long time.

Depressing.

What's he supposed to say? That the team is ****, the players are turds and there's not a snowball's chance they'll do anything this season? :laugh2: This guy changes things more than any other owner I know of, but it's always he doesn't change enough or he tinkers too much. Could it be that the players are to blame moret han the owner? They ARE the ones playing aren't they? Bottom line is there hasn't been the right combination of coaches and players...it'll happen one day.

Both interceptions he threw on FIRST down (2nd and 3rd picks) could of easily been avoided by knowing the game situation and THROWING THE BALL AWAY!

Your edit works.

But I agree.

The glory days ended when Jerry thought he could run this team on his own, the same time Jimmy Johnson quit....so yes 1996 sounds about right.
