Is because Bobby is on vacation and they can't clear the trade until he takes his physical with St. Louis.

Per Matt Mosley on Ben and Skin.

He has something to look forward to. Now turn your head and cough. :laugh1:

I think he'll like the "now drop your shorts, bend over and relax" part better. :lmao2:

The first thought I had was from the movie "Fletch" - "Moooon River... You using the whole fist there doc?" Classic! :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

I remember those days well when I was playing and had to go in for the physical before the start of the season. Good times, good times. :laugh1:

I hope Bobby wasn't playing golf.

Actually, I guess all the players take time away from formal workouts after the first of March for Vacations.

Curious, when did the money change enough so that all players did not need to have other jobs in the off season?

And do some players still have off season jobs? Even well off players.

Or it could be that Barron hasn't signed his tender yet

It doesn't take long to sign a piece of paper and fax it over to the Rams.

Anyways, OTAs don't start until the 17th. A lot of players are trying to get their vacations in now. No Rush.

It could be a lot of things, who cares as long as it gets done!

First, Barron would have to sign his restricted free agent tender worth $2.62 million and the Rams and Carpenter would have to come to an understanding on how to deal with a $1.895 million incentive that he has yet to earn.

If Carpenter plays in 45 percent of the snaps in 2010, then he is due $1.895 million and St. Louis might be reluctant to take on such a price in addition to Carpenter's $1.19 million base salary. What could happen is they re-work the deal that would allow Carpenter to earn some but not all of the incentive.

I find it ridiculous that the Rams would balk at paying a starting linebacker, 3 mil in an uncapped year.

If he sucks then bench him and don't pay the bonus?

they dont want to pay him more than they would have paid a 74 game starting LT
