Weeden is not Romo and he's not the best backup in the NFL but he is an NFL QB in the league for 3 seasons.
Not a whole lot of first round investments are cut after two seasons. That he has been in the league for three seasons isn't really an indication of his capability. Tebow made it for 3-4 as well.
